ATK excel
ATK go to the top of the table with this away win. A goal and a clean sheet take them to the summit. The clean sheet was courtesy of Chennaiyin FC's profligacy in front of goal. After David Williams gave ATK the lead in the 48th minute, the second half was littered with chances for Chennaiyin FC. The best one fell to substitute Andre Schembri, who could only fire wide. This was the case with all his teammates as well. The only positive the hosts could take from this match will be Lucian Goian's defensive mettle. The visitors were clinical for at least scoring a goal from their lot of chances but they were put under the cosh by Chennaiyin FC. The goalless streak for the Super Machans now stands at 6 matches, extending from last season. So, the deserving team is on top of the table. Habas on his return to ATK as a manager is making a bold statement.

Tonight's clash sees two teams, who have been very successful in the ISL, Chennaiyin FC and ATK, face-off against each other. The hosts are yet to win a game this season as they have drawn one and lost one. The visitors, on the other hand, started their campaign with a loss but head into this game after thumping newcomers Hyderabad FC 5-0. They have scored 6 goals so far in the two games played which means their attackers are doing well. On the contrary, the hosts have struggled in that area as they are yet to score their opening goal this season. They need to score if they are to have any chance of winning the game. Chennai took more of a defensive approach, which did show in the last game, where they kept a clean sheet. However, tonight they need to be good in both the departments as ATK are a good attacking side and have a good defensive unit as well. The visitors are probably favorites if you judge on recent form but Chennaiyin FC, playing in front of their home crowd, will want their fans to be right behind them and will be eager to break their goal-scoring drought. Will they do so? We will find out.
