FULL TIME REPORT
Burnley (14-10-9) made it five wins on the bounce with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City (11-10-12) on Saturday afternoon and all but confirmed European football next season providing Southampton don't win he FA Cup. They got off to a flyer and bagged twice in the first ten minutes. First Chris Wood beat Kasper Schmeichel with his second attempt to make it 1-0 on six minutes before they doubled their lead only three minutes later; a corner over to the far post was met by the powerful head of Kevin Long who netted his first Premier League goal. Leicester turned the style on after this and got their goal with 20 minutes remaining as Jamie Vardy netted his 17th league goal of the season, firing home into the roof of the net to beat the impressive Nick Pope. There were big chances for Leicester earlier in the game as Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were denied by big saves from the Burnley goalkeeper. Burnley hang on and go nine points clear of the Foxes who will feel frustrated that they couldn't snatch a point. Full time and it's Burnley 2-1 Leicester.
90'
FULL TIME
The ref looks at his watch and blows his whistle. It finishes Burnley 2-1 Leicester.
90'
FOUR MINUTES
There will be four additional minutes.
89'
TRYING
We're a minute away from injury time now as Leicester throw the kitchen sink as they try to get the leveller. No luck yet however as Burnley are defending stubbornly.
87'
Yellow Card
Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City)
9'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
It's 2-0! Burnley are in Dreamland! Harry Maguire cheaply concedes a corner under pressure from Wood and it's whipped over to the far post where KEVIN LONG ghosts in and rises above everyone to hammer home into the net. It's his first goal since a loan spell at Barnsley two years ago.
86'
Substitution
Ben Hamer (on). Kasper Schmeichel (off). (Leicester City)
85'
Substitution
Sam Vokes (on). Ashley Barnes (off). (Burnley)
85'
SUB
Couple of subs here, one for each side. A goalkeeper change for the visitors as Ben Hamer replaces Kasper Schmeichel due to injury, while Sam Vokes is on for Ashley Barnes up top for Burnley.
81'
Yellow Card
Ashley Barnes (Burnley)
81'
YELLOW CARD
Ashley Barnes comes in with a reckless challenge now and Martin Atkinson issues the striker with the hosts' second booking following Aaron Lennon's caution earlier.
77'
CAUGHT BADLY
Iheanacho, who assisted the first goal, looks to bag one himself now as he sends a volley at goal from a lofted through ball. He watches it over his shoulder but can't get a good enough connection and the keeper saves well.
75'
Substitution
Jeff Hendrick (on). Chris Wood (off). (Burnley)
74'
VITAL TOUCH
Leicester could be level now but Kevin Long gets a vital touch on a low whipped cross with Vardy lurking at the far post. Burnley have a big 15 minutes coming up now.
72'
Goal
Jamie Vardy. Assist by Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City)
72'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
Leicester are right back in this now! Kelechi Iheanacho runs downfield at pace and slides in, you guessed it, JAMIE VARDY who finishes expertly from close range. He broke the record for consecutive games scored in the other season and today's strike means it's five away games in a row in which he's bagged.
69'
APPEALS
Huge appeals for a penalty from the home side now as Tarkowski knocks the ball up in the area at some power and it strikes Chilwell on the arm. Nothing the young full back could do about that and a correct call from the referee.
66'
WIDE
Another big chance for the visitors to get a lifeline but somehow Jamie Vardy fluffs his lines from close range.
65'
Yellow Card
Aaron Lennon (Burnley)
64'
Substitution
Fousseni Diabate (on). Demarai Gray (off). (Leicester City)
62'
SAVED
Nick Pope makes another fine save to further enhance his growing reputation. This time he gets down low to tip Vardy's low effort around the post. England manager Gareth Southgate is watching on from the stands and he'll be impressed with what he's seen so far .
60'
FINE DEFENDING
Leicester break in numbers and it's slipped into the path of Vardy who goes through the middle but he takes a touch too many and in comes Jack Cork to swifly dispossess the attacker.
55'
OVER
Some good running from Johann Gudmundsson now as he takes the ball past Hamza Choudhury before sending a drive from 25 yards just over the bar as it's always rising.
51'
REF IN THE WAY
The free kick is laid off to Stephen Ward but referee Martin Atkinson is in the way as Ward goes to run up to it.
50'
FREE KICK
Burnley have a free kick in a menacing position to the left of the box. Barnes was away down the left and touched the ball past Maguire before the defender needlessly shoved him over. Could be curtains here if they put this in the net.
46'
Substitution
Kelechi Iheanacho (on). Shinji Okazaki (off). (Leicester City)
46'
SECOND HALF
The second half is up and running and there's one change between the sides as Kelechi Iheanacho replaces Shinji Okazaki who has been anonymous - I almost forgot he was playing.
6'
GOOOAAALLL!!!
Burnley lead, what a start for them! It's that man CHRIS WOOD again for his fifth goal in as many games. Good vision from Barnes to pick him out coupled with awful positioning Ben Chilwell who played him onside, the New Zealander put his initial shot at Kasper Schmeichel Kasper Schmeichel before slotting home the rebound.
5'
BLOCKED
Ashley Barnes scored a sublime overhead kick a couple of weeks ago against West Brom and he tries it again from the edge of the box but his effort is blocked.
9'
Goal
Kevin Long. Assist by Johann Gudmundsson (Burnley)
6'
Goal
Chris Wood (Burnley)
45'
HALF TIME REPORT
Burnley look set to move nine points clear of Leicester in the race for European football as they lead 2-0 at home to the Foxes at half time here. Two goals in the first nine minutes have put them firmly in the driving seat with 45 minutes left to play. The first came on six minutes as Chris Wood slotted home at the second attempt after Ashley Barnes slippd him through. The second came three minutes later when Kevin Long headed home only his second Burnley goal and his first ever in the Premier League as he rose above everyone to smash a header past Kasper Schmeichel. Leciester have had chances themselves but Nick Pope has done well to keep out headers from Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy. Join us soon for the second half.
45'
HALF TIME
The ref blows the whistle and signals half time. It's 2-0 Burnley at the break.
45'
TWO MINUTES
There will be two added minutes.
44'
BLOCK
An effort is well saved by Pope now as a cross from Maguire reaches Vardy who heads it accurately but he can't find a way past the stopper.
41'
PROMISING
Leicester counter with pace now after possession was given away carelessly but the promising move comes to an abrupt end as Chilwell fails to control a pass into his feet and Burnley have the throw-in.
38'
END TO END
The last few minutes has been very stop-start with several throw-ins and small fouls given by the ref, meaning the game isn't flowing as it was at the start.
34'
SAVE
What a save just now from Pope in the home goal. Gray has the ball on the right and dinks it over to Mahrez at the back post whose powerful header is someone stopped and held by the stopper. Tremendous work from the England man.
30'
FREE KICK
Burnley are back on the attack and could make it 3-0 but Matthew Lowton is deemed to have fouled in the build-up and Schmeichel takes a free kick and gets the ball back up the other side.
26'
HEADED WIDE
Some fine work down the left flank from Chilwell as he gets past Matthew Lowton with a lovely touch before picking out Vardy at the back post who, in plenty of space, heads wide of the goal. Could've taken a touch there.
23'
CROSS
The momentum has switched from the hosts to the away side since the second goal for Burnley with Jamie Vardy looking to get one back but he can't create anything. The Foxes will do well to get past a resolute defence and Pope between the sticks, who has 11 clean sheets from 29 games this season.
19'
CORNER
The visitors have settled a little and win themselves a corner on the near side. Mahrez sends it in but fails to beat the first man and James Tarkowski heads away.
15'
SAVED
The visitors have their first attack of the game as Riyad Mahrez eases past two Burnley bodies before having a deflected shot saved well by Nick Pope. He had Demarai Gray in space to his left and in hindsight should've probably chose that option.
13'
QUICK START
Leicester have been abysmal in these opening exchanges and haven't got going yet whereas the hosts have started like a house on fire and are going for a third, with Johann Gudmundsson seeing an effort blocked well.

PREVIEW
Burnley host Leicester at Turf Moor this afternoon as both sides look to carry on their push for European football next season. It's the hosts' who currently occupy the final Europa League spot and should they beat the Foxes on home soil today then they will go nine points clear of them in eighth, seemingly ending the race for seventh spot, however Leicester have a superb record when it comes to playing the Clarets and have lost just one of the previous 12 meetings with the Lancashire club, winning eight of those so they will fancy their chances. Burnley come into today's game in fine form having won their last four games and have not lost at home since a narrow defeat against Manchester United three months ago. The visitors lost last time out at home to Newcastle but have won their last two on the road including a comprehensive victory at West Bromwich Albion. Join Liam Fountain from 3pm BST for all the live action and commentary from the game.
