Well we are in to the final ten minutes and still goalless. Brighton have been having the better of things in the last few minutes and Sean Dyche has now brought on Jeff Hendrick in place of Westwood to try to get Burnley forward. There's still time for a goal here.

Burnley beginning to put the pressure on the visitors defence again without making any clear chances. Aaron Lennon is subbed by N'Koudou moments after a clattering from Glenn Murray which earned the Brighton man a booking.

Burnley go close with a cross from Westwood very nearly finding the incoming Barnes. He just fails to connect and play goes on.

Vokes scored a goal recently 24 seconds after coming on and he nearly did it again. A Gudmundsson free kick is chested down by Tarkowski and hits Vokes on route to Ryans' grateful arms. Brighton have introduced Murray for Ulloa.

The game is being punctuated by a number of fouls and Dale Stephens is a man who needs to be careful. Already booked he has just upended Lennon unceremoniously close to the Brighton box. The free kick by Gudmundsson is a poor oine though into the arms of Ryan.

I don't suppose anyone would have expected a goal fest from these two teams, and so it has proved. However it has not be dull, and the tackling has been of the feisty sort. The closest we came to a goal was on 23 minutes when Lowton delivered a free kick right into the mix and all hell broke loose. Ashley Barnes had efforts from a yard out which Mat Ryan did well to smother. The ball was scrambled to the other side of the goal and Kevin Long nearly converted on the far post, but Duffy was there to block. In the last part of the half Burnley ramped up the pressure as Barnes forced a save from Ryan and Burnley made appeals for two penalties, both denied by referee East. It's all set up for the second half and I suspect there will be goals to report. So stay tuned for full commentary coming up.

Burnley claim another handball from a Gudmundsson corner which strikes Bruno. Not for the referee, nor me either. The half ends all square at 0 - 0.

Chris Hughton will be fairly happy with progress so far. Apart from the schemozzle on their line on 23 minutes they have kept the Burnley attack at bay, and a draw here will further inch them away from the bottom three.

Mat Ryan and Shane Duffy were hi fiving after that excitement. Since then Brighto nearly get Ulloa in when a scuffed Gross shot is loose in the area. Tarkowski takes a knock in the proceedings and is receiving treatment.

I knew if I said something.........How have Burnley not scored here. What a scramble. Ashley Barnes looks sure to score from a yard out but Mat Ryan foils him. There ensues a mass ruckus and Long on the far post gets his shot in which is cleared off the line by Duffy. Burnley think it was with his hand, but only get a corner. Phew!!

Neither of these teams have a better than goal per game average and aren't considered prolific in front of goal. I can see why. Bearing in mind the reverse fixture in December ended goalless............

Just looking at the PL scores so far, and Crystal Palace have just gone 1 - 0 up against Leicester. It's the only goal today so far and I'm not confident of getting one any time soon here. Still 0 - 0 and no action for either 'keeper.

Sean Dyche in his technical area is bawling at his players, Chris Hughton isn't. But there is no difference between the teams so far, perhaps the visitors having more of the ball. No real chances though.

As we approach the final games of the season, both teams contesting todays' fixture at Turf Moor can rightly be proud of their respective campaigns. There are those who would tout Sean Dyche as Manager of the Season, and why not? It has been a vintage season for the Clarets, looking odds on to finish at least 7th in the PL and thereby bagging a Europa Cup berth for next term. Such is a tremendous achievement for a poor neighbour in financial terms and is an example of what can be achieved with the right manager and a solid club infrastructure. Chris Hughton at Brighton is not far behind in deserving the plaudits. The Seagulls currently lie 13th and closer to a top 10 finish than the relegation trap door. There is a caveat though. After todays' game their run in pits them against the top 3 as it stands where points are unlikely to come readily. So a defeat at todays' hosts could possibly result in a bead or two of sweat on South Coast brows come the final day at Anfield. But in reality Brighton probably have enough points (36) already to ensure PL status next season. For Burnley there are no fresh injury worries and winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou is available after a hamstring problem. Similarly for Brighton, although Davy Propper will not figure due to suspension. Todays' referee is 52 year old Roger East from Wiltshire. He will be officiating his 17th PL game this season, five of which have involved todays' hosts Burnley.
