Anthony Taylor brings the game to an end and it's a point apiece. Collin Quanar had a very late chance to win it for Huddersfield but a draw is a fair result. It's all over Brighton 1 - 1 Huddersfield.

Collin Quaner has come on for Huddersfield replacing van la Parra. We go into four minutes of time added on. Will we get a winner?

Into the final three minutes here at the Amex, this could still go either way, is anyone going to gamble?

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
That sending off seems to have galvanised the ten men of Brighton as they go close again. Solly March's corner is met by the rising Shane Duffy but his header os wide of the mark.
83'
BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
That nearly shut me up as Brighton very nearly take the lead. Ulloa sets Izquierdo in and he tries to round Lossl. The ball is blocked and Schelottos' follow up effort is tipped over the bar. That was a close one. Meanwhile Hogg has been replaced by Billing.

Substitution
Philip Billing (on). Jonathan Hogg (off). (Huddersfield Town)

Chris Hiughton brings Kayal on for Gross in an attempt to shore up defensively and see the game out for a point, not surprising I suppose.

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
That is what you call a tackle out of control. Davy Propper and Jonathon Hogg slide in for a 50:50, Hogg along the floor and Propper with studs showing high. A red card by the letter of the law and this is a real chance for the visitors now.
As expected Leonardo Ulloa comes on for Brighton. What is a bit surprising is that it's a like for like substitution as Glenn Murray makes way. Huddersfield are slightly on top here, we'll see if that change makes any difference.
Close call at the other end. Mooy sets Hadergjonaj down the right and his cross is met by Mounie who heads just over. Minutes later Tom Ince chances his arm with a 25 yard free kick, but it's easy meat for Matt Ryan.

BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
Straight from the kick off the home side should have scored. A long ball puts Davy Propper in on goal but he puts the ball wide when he should have done better.

They will be even edgier now as Davy Propper gets a red card, Brighton down to ten men.

The home crowd are getting perceptibly edgy now. The last twenty minutes or so has been all Huddersfield who continue to press for the winner.

Shane Duffy is first in Anthony Taylors book as he catches Pritchard after the ball had gone. Moments later Pascal Gross Pascal Gross tees up Dale Stephens on the edge of the visitors box and his shot is superbly tipped over by Jonas Lossl .

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
We approach the hour mark and start to wonder about positive substitutions that might take yhis game by the scruff of the neck. Both sides have two strikers on the bench so we might expect to see either Ulloa or Locadia on soon. For Huddersfield there is Depoitre and Quaner to consider.

We approach the half time whistle with Huddersfield still calling the shots. By the way that first goal is officially an oe=wn goal from Lossl.

BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
That was Huddersfield's first goal since February at West Bromwich and it really has got The Terriers tails up. Pritchard puts van la Parra in down the left flank and his cross finds Hogg whos shot is superbly blocked by Dunk. That could have been a second for the away side and at the moment they are looking good.

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
If you think Brightons goal was bad, get a hold of this one. Shane Duffy without even looking tries to find his 'keeper and presents the ball straight to Steve Mounie. He rounds Matt Ryan and rolls the ball into an empty net. All square here.

Whoa where did that come from. Steve Mounie equalises for Huddersfield

I think the goal will be given to Solly March, but what an awful goal it was. Solly March cuts inside van la Parra and shoots from some 25 yards. Lossl is slow to go down and the ball trickles past him, hits the post and goes over the line off his arm. Poor 'keeping but Brighton lead.

Solly March or an own goal, we'll see but Brighton are in the lead.

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
A missed opportunity for the Seagulls. Solly March floats in a free kick and finds Lewis Dunk unmarked on the far post. Dunk seems to get caught in two minds, whether to head back across goal or go for it. The result of course is he ends up doins neither and the ball drifts wide of the far post.

BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
This is not the start that Brighton fans would have hoped for. It's all a bit slow and the visitors look the more likely to create something at present.

H.T. BRIGHTON 1 - 1 HUDDERSFIELD
This is a crucial game for both teams in their plight to avoid relegation. Brighton started much the quicker and should have scored in the opening minute but Davy Propper put his shot wide with only the 'keeper to beat. The home team continued to press, but gradually Huddersfield got a foothold in the game with Mounie causing Ryan to make a fine save from a volley. Brighton took the lead on 30 minutes when a Solly March daisy cutter beat Lossl, hit hte post and rebounded back in off the Huddersfield stopper. It was a poor goal that was equalled at the other end five minutes later. Shane Duffy's back pass found Steve Mounie instead off Matt Ryan, the former rounded the latter and we were all square. The visitors had the better of the remainder of the half and had a Hogg shot well blocked by Dunk when it looked like he might score. 1 - 1 at half time and all to play for in the second half coming up shortly.

One minute of time added on played and Anthony Taylor brings the half to an end all square. 1 - 1.

BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
For 20 minutes we had a very fast pace to this game. Not surprising as this is a real six pointer. With both teams facing very tough May fixtures for their run ins, picking up points in the next two or three weeks is crucial. But the game has lost a bit of intensity in the last few minutes and we need a goalm as they say.
23'
BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
Both teams are going hell for leather at this one. This time it's Mounie and Dunk having a bit of argy-bargy and Anthony Taylor again wags a stern finger at both to restore order. Brighton continue to press high up the field but Huddersfield standing firm so far and breaking quickly when opportunity arises.
18'
BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
Just as I say that it's a good chance for the home side again. An excellent 1-2 between Izquierdo and Murray has the former through on goal but Lossl makes a fine save down at his feet.
15'
BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
There has been a half chance for Glenn Murray who headed harmlessly wide from a decent position, but since then Huddersfield have grown into this game and currently dominate possession.

BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
Van la Parra and Schelotto get involved in a spot of ladies slapping on the touch line which Anthony Taylor quickly quells. Seconds later Aaron Mooy lets fly from distance, comfortable for Ryan.

BRIGHTON 0 - 0 HUDDERSFIELD
After an early spell of pressure from the home side, Huddersfield make their first attack via Kongolo down the left flank. His cross is met on the volley by Steve Mounie who cracks it on goal. Good save by Mathew Ryan as he punches it clear.

BRIGHTON v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
Both Brighton and Huddersfield, who go head to head at the Amex this afternoon, were promoted from the Championship last year. It's probably fair to say that most of the football cognoscenti expected them to make the return journey at the first time of asking. But there has been a resilience about both clubs which leaves them a fighting chance of Premiership consolidation. Neither have spent any appreciable time in the bottom three, relying mainly on vigorous home performances to bank vital points.
At this stage of the season Brighton look better equipped to avoid any nerve jangling final day nightmares. Currently 13th with a game in hand on many of those around them, you would expect them to gain the points required for survival, but there is a caveat. After todays match against Huddersfield and next weeks trip to Crystal Palace, they finish their campaign with five games against top seven opposition. So perhaps the Brighton faithful might regard todays' fixture as a must win to ensure peace of mind. Leonardo Ulloa is back available for selection, but Dale Stephens (hamstring) and Anthony Knockaert (suspension) are absentees.
Todays' opposition Huddersfield have had rather a topsy-turvy season, with bursts of form sandwiched by a number of hammerings. At the moment they are very much in a "turvy" period so to speak, having picked up just one point in their last four outings. They need to reverse this trend post-haste, being only three points advanced of 18th placed Southampton who crucially have a game in hand. Furthermore come May they face Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal in their final three fixtures where points will be difficult to come by. They have also suffered a blow this week with the news that striker Elias Kachunga will miss the remainder of the season after being injured at Newcastle last week. With goals hard to find, they haven't scored a league goal since Februarys' win at West Bromwich, things look a little bleak for the Yorkshire side. Today they will be hoping to repeat last Decembers performance against Brighton in their first meeting when Steve Mounie scored the goals in a 2 - 0 victory.
