The hosts win the match 3-0 to make it to the top spot. They hand Odisha FC a despairing loss to break their winning streak. The Blues did so in style, they were 2 goals up in the first half without a reply. Deshorn Brown and Rahul Bheke put the Blues ahead. Will Odisha FC overtake Bengaluru FC?
Things are heating up in the race for the top four spots in the Indian Super League. Bengaluru FC have been a dominant side at home and they would be looking to be at their best against an upbeat side, who have won their last four matches. The hosts have defended well this season at home, having conceded only 4 goals. Their overall defence has been good but they would be disappointed with how they performed in the last match against the Islanders, where two mistakes cost them the game. On the attacking front, Sunil Chhetri has been in top form for the side and again they would be heavily dependant on their skipper, Sunil Chhetri, to take them over the line. Carles Cuadrat, Bengaluru FC's head coach will be disappointed with the performance of Udanta Singh and Manuel Onwu who have been out of form for a while now. Odisha FC, on the other hand, have been the side to beat for some time now. Their winning-streak now stretches 4 matches and they'll to carry that momentum in this game as well. Their main frontman, Aridane Santana, has been in terrific form as he is leading the goalscoring charts. They though have a tough game ahead against the Blues' defenders. Odisha FC would hope that Santana receives good support from the other players. They received a big blow in the last match in form of a suspension to Vinit Rai, while Nandhakumar Sekar is also a doubtful starter. In the reverse fixture, Bengaluru FC defeated the newcomers 1-0. Who will win this time? Odisha FC or Bengaluru FC? No matter who wins, it promises to be a nail-biting encounter.
