Goodbye
That's it from game 56. ISL action continues on Friday as FC Goa host NorthEast United FC at 1930 IST. Join us for that one. Till then have a great night.
Awards
The Club Award has been given to Bengaluru FC for winning the game. The Limitless Player of the Match Award goes to Juanan. The Winning Pass of the Match Award goes to Kean Lewis. The Emerging Player of the Match Award is bagged by Ankit Mukherjee. Lastly, Erik Paartalu wins the Hero of the Match Award.
Invincible?
That's the end of an intriguing game here in Bengaluru. I don't know how we just witnessed one goal in this match. It was an end-to-end game with both teams having plenty of chances but could not make them count. Balwant Singh had two wonderful opportunities in the second half but was not able to capitalize on it. Bengaluru FC had chances of their own to double their lead but even they weren't able to do so. In the end, it was Erik Paartalu whose wonderful header was the difference between the two sides. With this win, Bengaluru solidify their spot on top of the table and return to winning ways after experiencing back-to-back draws. The Blues will go in the winter break in great spirits. ATK, on the other hand, will be disappointed to lose this one. They must be kicking themselves for the missed chances. They would like to improve and come back stronger.

So close
John Johnson from inside his half on the right beautifully finds Balwant Singh with an aerial through ball. Balwant runs past Juanan and hits his shot with his right. He is able to beat Gurpreet Singh Sandhu but he also beats the far post. Once again Balwant Singh gets an opportunity to equalize but cannot make it count.
62'
Worthy effort
Sunil Chhetri receives the ball from Dimas Delgado and takes a few steps towards goal and from the edge of the box he tries to curl one in on the right corner but his effort is off target. A good try from the skipper.
57'
Opportunity goes begging
Manuel Lanzarote puts in the ball from the free kick on the right to find Balwant Singh. He times his run to perfection and beats the defender. Lanzarote's ball is accurate but Balwant's effort from inside the box is off target. Missing the target from there looked like the difficult thing to do.
55'
Offside
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu plays the ball from the edge of his own box. He amazingly finds Sunil Chhetri. But the Bengaluru FC skipper is offside. Sandhu's long passes have been accurate today.
51'
Away side on the front foot
ATK have started the second half pressing the home side. They are desperately looking for the equalizer.
46'
Second half
Bengaluru FC will get us underway for the final 45. Can they take all three points or will ATK make a comeback?
Bengaluru FC with their noses in front
A great half of football. It's been an end-to-end half where both sides have attacked and tried to take the lead. But it was Erik Paartalu who leaped high to put the home side in the lead. ATK were looking threatening but were not able to break the Bengaluru defence. The two-time champs would like to continue the way they have played in the first 45 but need to find a way to break the Bengaluru defence. The hosts, on the other hand, would try to double their lead. The action continues in the second half soon, join us for that.
45'
Half time
That's the end of an exciting half of football here in Bengaluru.
45'
Added time
2 minutes have been added on at the end of regulation 45.
37'
GOOAAAALLLL!
Rahul Bheke passes the ball sideways to Kean Lewis on the left. He beats the defender and puts in the cross from left and finds Erik Paartalu. The Aussie leaps high and heads in the ball perfectly on the right bottom corner of the net. A much-needed goal for Bengaluru FC. They now have the lead and would like to build on it.

Well defended
Jayesh Rane gives a through ball on the right to Ankit Mukherjee. Mukherjee puts in a dangerous cross but Erik Paartalu is at the right place to deal with it. ATK are looking very dangerous.
26'
Corner
Jayesh Rane whips in a cross in the box from the right but the ball is cleared away by the Bengaluru FC defenders for a corner. The resulting corner by Lanzarote is a poor one and easily dealt with by the home side.
19'
Easy pickings
Vieira lays the ball to Santos. The latter hares towards the ball and puts his laces behind it. Catches it well but straight to Sandhu.

Everton Santos catches Sunil Chhetri outside the box and the referee gives it a free kick. The free kick is in a dangerous area here, just outside the box. Manuel Lanzarote is booked for arguing with the referee.

What a tackle
Albert Serran tries to clear the ball but misses it completely. Balwant Singh was in there to take advantage of it and he was ready to hit the home side on the counter. But Juanan is there and puts in a perfectly timed clean tackle to save Serran's blushes.
6'
Blocked
Jayesh Rane on the right side hits the shot from inside the box on the right but Nishu Kumar blocks it by putting his body on the line.
3'
Off target
Kean Lewis beats the defender on the left and squares it up to Sunil Chhetri. Chhetri shoots it first time with his left foot but misses the target on the far post. The skipper should have taken an extra touch there. First chance of the game for the home side.

Hello everyone!
Welcome to Match 56 of this edition's Indian Super League between table toppers Bengaluru FC and two-time champions ATK. This is an exciting clash between two heavyweights of the ISL. Bengaluru FC are 3 points clear at the top of the table having played a game fewer than 2nd placed Mumbai City FC. The Blues are undefeated this season but have managed to only draw in the previous 2 games. They would like to bounce back to winning ways and this is a fixture which the hosts love. They have won all three previous meeting against ATK. On the other hand, the visitors would like to win this game and move to 5th spot on the table. Scoring goals have been an issue for the red and white stripes. They have managed to find the back of the net only 10 times this season, the second lowest in the league. But their defense has been impressive. Lanza and co. have managed to keep 4 clean sheets in their last 5 matches. This will be an enticing battle between Bengaluru FC's attack and ATK's defence. Join us in a while to know who comes on top.
