Dominance from Chennaiyin FC
What a performance we have seen from Chennaiyin FC! They keep themselves alive in the race for the semi-finals with this win. The Marina Machans started the game really well getting ahead in the game very early on and added one more in the 40th minute. ATK FC though were not going to hold back as they pulled one back immediately. The second half saw more attacks from the home team and they were passing the ball a lot better but they failed to convert their chances. Chennaiyin then scored another when Nerijus Valskis put one in the back of the net. The home side would be disappointed with their overall performance in front of goal. Roy Krishna's header which found the net was given as offside in the 85th minute and then four minutes later, Victor Mongil failed to put the ball in an empty net. With this victory, Chennaiyin FC have moved to fifth on the table and are looking strong to displace Mumbai City FC.

What an eventful first half! Chennaiyin FC managed a lead in the 7th minute through Rafael Crivellaro. They found the back of the net 5 minutes later as well but that was denied by the linesman as offside. Arindam Bhattacharja did well to keep it 1-0 when Sumit Rathi's back-header almost went inside the goal. Chennaiyin FC doubled their lead in the 40th minute with Andre Schembri heading the ball in the back of the net. However, before they could even breathe, Roy Krishna hit one home to pull one back for ATK. GOALLLLL
ATK FC find the back of the net for the first time. The crowd has found its voice back. Roy Krishna is the man with the goal but one has to say that it is a poor, poor effort from Chennaiyin FC. Vishal Kaith spots that and comes off his mark to push the ball away but Krishna manages to get the first touch which is a neat deflection to find the net.

Gameday!!!
The Indian Super League gears up for a very important clash as ATK FC, with an aim of taking pole position on the points table, get ready to host Chennaiyin FC who need 3 points to strengthen their chances of making it into the semi-finals of the tournament. ATK FC got the better of Odisha FC in their last encounter while Chennaiyin FC had to settle for equal points against defending champions Bengaluru FC. The hosts have been in brilliant form and have won 4 consecutive games coming into this match. Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, too are on a 5-match unbeaten streak and would look to battle out the strong ATK FC unit. The last time both the teams faced off, the team from Kolkata emerged victorious. ATK FC's attack at the opposition has been led by Roy Krishna and David Williams while at the defensive front, Pritam Kotal, Sumit Rathi and Prabir Das have been exceptional. The fact that in their last 7 outings, the side has conceded just 2 goals and that number is enough to suggest how the defense for ATK FC has played. Chennaiyin FC, on the other hand, will be relying on Nerijus Valskis, who is the leading goal-scorer for the side, on the attacking front. Eli Sabia and Lucian Goian will have the responsibility of containing the attack from the likes of Roy Krishna and David Williams. In all, we are in for an exciting clash between the two sides who will battle out for their own reasons.
