ATK's first win at home
An exciting game comes to an end. What has been a brilliant game of football between these two big teams. ATK will be very happy finally winning a game at their home turf. They were struggling to score this season at their home but they managed to win it today. ATK's keeper was superb as he kept them in the game for most of the match. Carlos Salom did have some good chances but could not covert it. While Chennaiyin FC's worst start continues. They were in the game for most part but could not find that equaliser goal they needed to draw the game. ATK climb up to 4th position while Chennayin are placed in 9th position.

Exciting first half
It was an entertaining first half between these two teams. ATK started the brighter of the teams scoring two under 14 minutes. Uche gave them a brilliant start scoring his first goal for the club. ATK scored the second within minutes after the first goal with John Johnson scoring a good header to make it 2-0 for the home team. But Chennaiyin did bounce back with a bullet of header from Salom to reduce the deficit to one. Both the teams have created quite a few chances and would like to do so in the second half as well. GOAL!
They have their 2-goal lead! Once again it is Lanzarote at the heart of things. Floats in a lovely ball from this free kick which is just outside the box. John Johnson at the far post, leaps high after being unmarked and heads it past Karanjit at the far post. Generates good power and Karanjit cannot stop it after the dive. That's goal number 50 of the ISL.

WHAT. A. SAVE! ATK almost double their lead. Lanzarote threads in a lovely through ball from the left inside the box to Uche. The latter looks to hit it past the keeper but Karanjit stands tall and makes a very good save. Chennai get away with one.

GOAL!
ATK have an early goal! They score at home and Kalu Uche opens his account for his new club. Karanjit takes a goal kick and it is cleared away by Gerson Vieira with his head. And welcome for Match 19. This evening's contest is a rather interesting one. Two teams, quality teams, who have been struggling in the competition so far will face off against each other. ATK need to improve their form at home, as they haven't bagged a single point out of the possible 6 till now. All their goals have been away from home too, so they need to turn it around and Manuel Lanzarote will be the man in the limelight for that. He's had a hand in all of ATK's goals and he'll look to continue with that now. Chennaiyin, share a worse fate. The defending champs haven't won a game out of the 4 they've played. A lack of killer instinct in front of goal is their biggest issue. They have the players to do the job, just have to find their rhythm. Let's see how it all unfolds.
