One of the features of the stadium is its promenade, which will separate the flow of visitors between the first and second tiers of the arena. This section mainly houses the dining and sanitary zones. The stadium is the smallest one in the Euro 2012.
The stadium will be home to three matches at the Euro 2012. Group B fixtures including Germany, Portugal and Denmark will be played at the venue.
Lviv witnessed some of the first ever football, ice-hockey, basketball, water-polo and rugby matches in the region on the then-Polish and now Ukraninan territory. The first documented football match took place on 14 July 1894, a date considered the birth of the game in Ukraine. Former Poland coaches Kazimierz Gorski, Ryszard Koncewicz, Michal Matyas and Waclaw Kuchar all hail from the city of Lviv.
