Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar on Tuesday batted for Ravi Shastri to become the next Team India coach and said that he was the one who started the turnaround when the team was going through a tough phase. "Ravi was the one who started the turnaround when the Indian team was going through the horrors in England in 2014. He was appointed as the team director and you could straightaway see the change," he said in an exclusive chat with NDTV. On Tuesday evening, reports emerged that Shastri had been appointed the new coach of Team India, however, in a press conference later in the day, BCCI said that the decision had not been finalised and the Cricket Advisory Committee was still deliberating on it.
