Former Test batsman Sunil Gavaskar told NDTV in an exclusive that India's top order batsmen were guilty of throwing their wickets away after making good starts on Day 1 of the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur on Thursday. Five Indian batsmen were dismissed after settling down well. Murali Vijay was India's best batsman with 65. Gavaskar feels Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have to exploit the Green Park pitch to keep India in the match on Friday.
