NDTV expert Dean Jones said age is just a number as far as cricket is concerned and indicated Rajasthan Royals' 42-year old leg spinner Pravin Tambe is good enough to play for India in Test cricket, probably also in one-day cricket and definitely so in T20s. Ajit Agarkar said while Tambe is among the top players in the Indian Premier League currently, it will be better not to get carried away. Venkatesh Prasad said the 42-year old spinner definitely works extremely hard in his bowling and fielding but there are a lot of other good leg spinners in India. Tambe took the first hat-trick in this year's Indian Premier League and was the leading wicket-taker in last year's Champions League T20.
