Timycen Maruma is one of the better spin bowlers Zimbabwe has produced. He started his career against Bangladesh 'A' in 2006 and since then has managed to impress with his performances in various domestic seasons.
Maruma had an outstanding debut domestic season and took 36 wickets with an average of 17.62 which helped him receive a call up to the national side for the World T20 in South Africa. He didn't get a chance to play there but was soon awarded an ODI berth against South Africa in the same year but failed to impress there. Since then, he has played sporadically in ODIs for Zimbabwe and has bowled well in patches.
