Christopher Philip Wood Profile
Chris Wood is one of the most talented left-arm seamers in the county circuit. The promising youngster made his way into the Hampshire Cricket Academy at the age of 17 and there was no looking back from then on. He slowly developed into a better limited-overs player and finished as the highest wicket-taker in Hampshire's T20 campaign in 2010. Hampshire went on to win the T20 tournament that year. A brilliant first-class debut saw him scalp 7 wickets against Oxford MCCU which included a five-for in the first innings. Wood was a part of the winning Hampshire side in 2012’s domestic T20 competition. He was eventually named in the T20 squad for that year’s Champions League T20 in South Africa.
