Won the ICC Associate ODI Player of the Year award at the ICC Awards in Johannesburg in 2007. During the ICC CWC 2007, he became the first Associate player to complete the double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in ODIs. Only player to date to have taken 100 ODI wickets for Kenya. Favourite cricketer is Malcolm Marshall. His match figures of 4-47 in the ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Netherlands helped Kenya win by an innings and six runs in August 2008.
