Born on June 7, 2007, in Nashik, Maharashtra, Sahil Ulhas Parakh is a dynamic left-handed top-order batter and a handy leg-break bowler. Still in his teenage years, he has already began to attract attention through performances in youth and domestic-level competitions.
Sahil’s rise through the Maharashtra cricket pathway was marked by an aggressive batting style that caught the attention of selectors at the age of 14. His breakthrough came on the national stage during the 2024 Under-19 World Cup cycle.
A defining moment in his young career occurred in September 2024 during a Youth ODI series against Australia U-19. Parakh decimated the Australian attack, smashing an unbeaten 109 off just 75 balls* (including 14 fours and 5 sixes), guiding India to a 9-wicket victory and a series win. This followed a prolific run in the Men's Inter-NCA One Day Tournament, where he was the second-highest run-scorer with 275 runs in just 4 matches at a strike rate of 168.71.
On the domestic front, Parakh has become a vital asset for the Eagle Nashik Titans in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL). During the 2025 season, he consistently provided explosive starts, finishing with a season strike rate of 177.19. His knack for finding boundaries in the powerplay was evident in high-impact cameos, such as a blistering 47 off 20 balls and a crucial 38 in the tournament knockouts.
These performances bridged the gap to senior cricket, leading to his official debut for the Maharashtra senior team in the 2025–26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. While still in the early stages of his senior career, his ability to adapt his aggressive game to the professional level has been highly encouraging for state selectors.
The most significant milestone of his journey occurred in the lead-up to the IPL 2026 season. After being scouted extensively for his "X-factor" potential, Sahil Parakh was officially signed by the Delhi Capitals.
