With the Indian T20 League bringing lesser-known players into the limelight, Mohit Rathee has an opportunity to showcase his talents on the world stage when his turn comes to take the field with some of the top cricketing stars. Born on 13th January 1999 in Rohtak in the north Indian state of Haryana, Mohit played club cricket for several years before making his first-class debut for Services in the Ranji Trophy at the end of 2022, just before he turned 24 years of age.
He showed he was up to the standard required as he scored 69 in the first inning followed by 25 runs in 18 balls in his second outing and picked up two wickets in the game. He piqued the interest of franchise scouts and was picked by the Punjab side in the auction for the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League. The all-rounder can bowl leg spin while being more than handy with the bat and if he can hone his skills in the presence of renowned international players in the dressing room, it is bound to help him grow as a cricketer.
