Balachandra Akhil Profile

Balachandra Akhil is a useful all-rounder for Karnataka. He came into the limelight in the Cooch Behar Trophy for the Under-19 team in 1995 before shifting to the senior side in 1998.

His massive strike rate of around 150 and enviable bowling figures saw him being picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2008. He was then signed by the newly formed franchise of Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011 for the fourth IPL season.
