Dhiman Ghosh Profile

Dhiman Ghosh is a wicket keeper who plays for the Bangladesh cricket team. He made his first class debut in 2003-04, and with Khaled Mashud and some of the other young wicket keepers not living up to the selectors' expectations, Dhiman Ghosh leapfrogged into contention. He currently plays for the Chittagong Division, and has a decent average of around 30 in both the forms of the game.

He made his ODI debut against South Africa and then went on to play the whole series against them, and also the next series against Pakistan. His batting was not too much to write home about, he scored less than 100 in the 11 ODIs that he played in. But his wicket keeping impressed everyone, and he hopes to become a regular in the Bangladesh team. His T20 debut was against Pakistan in the same series, but he scored only one in that match.

A little known fact about Dhiman Ghosh is that he was an off-spinner before he took to wicket keeping, and has an impressive 3/7 as his best first class bowling figures!
