Rahul Dravid who has now retired from all forms of international cricket received tributes from celebrities, former cricketers and experts as he announced an end to a celebrated career which saw him amass over 12,000 Test runs, a contribution that Indian cricket will never forget.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who is an avid cricket fan, paid her tribute to Dravid: Namaskar. Kuchh din pehle Bharat ke ek mahaan cricketer, aur hum sabhi ke pasandeedein, Rahul Dravid ne apni retirement announce ki. Yeh sun kar mujhe dukh hua, ki ab se humein unki batting dekhne nahi milegi. Rahul ke beshumaar fans mein, main bhi ek hoon. Hum dono ka hi janmasthan Indore hai. Rahul ke anek vishwa-vikram hai, aur main bas itna kehna chahungi ke, Rahul, we will miss you! (A few days back, one of India's greatest cricketers and everyone's favourite Rahul Dravid announced his retirement. I am disappointed that we'll not get to watch him bat again. I am one of his many fans. We both were born in Indore. He has many achieved many milestones and all I want to say is 'Rahul, We will miss you!)
