To mark the 40th anniversary of One-Day International cricket, the ICC's has asked the fans from across the globe to select their choice of the greatest ODI team of all-time on their official website.

Seven Indian players have made it to the shortlist. Here is a quick look at them.

His name should have been a no-brainer. Apart from being the highest run-getter with most number of centuries, Sachin is undoubtedly one of the best openers of world.

The flamboyant southpaw may have hung his boots, but his exploits up the order during his hay days have earned him a place in the list. 19 out of his 22 centuries came as an opener.

This Nawab of Najafgarh perhaps did not know how destructive he could be till skipper Ganguly paved the way and asked him to open the innings. 12 of his 13 centuries came as an opener and the world knows if he gets going, India winning chances shoot up.
