India defeated New Zealand in the third ODI by 7 wickets to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series. Prior to this win, India also registered away series win in ODIs in South Africa (5-1) and Australia (2-1). India last won an ODI series in New Zealand in 2009 where they won 3-1.
