c Khushdil Shah b Iftikhar Ahmed
25 OUT! CAUGHT! Travis Head holes out! Huge, huge wicket for Pakistan and they know that. Ahmed tosses it up, around off. Head skips down a bit and tries to go over long off. Although, he plays a half-hearted shot and ends up chipping it straight down to the long off fielder. Khushdil Shah is stationed there, he runs forward and takes a good low catch. Head is gutted with his shot selection but this has been a tremendous knock from the southpaw! He has provided a solid platform for the batters to follow. 171/2

Aaron Finch C | 23 | 36 | 0 | 1 | 63.88 |
c Mohammad Rizwan b Zahid Mahmood
14.4 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Finally, Pakistan break the opening stand and it is the debutant, Zahid Mahmood who provides them with a much-needed breakthrough! A top delivery to get rid of the Aussie skipper. This is tossed up, outside off and spinning away a shade. Finch prods to defend but he only manages a faint outside edge which goes through to the keeper. The ball hits Mohammad Rizwan's wrist and lobs up in the air. He keeps his eyes on the ball and pouches it safely in the end. Finch walks even without waiting for the onfield decision. 110/1

Ben McDermott | 55 | 70 | 4 | 0 | 78.57 |
run out (Mohammad Wasim / Mohammad Rizwan)
33 OUT! RUN OUT! Never run on a misfield they say, but Ben tries to steal an extra run and he perishes in doing so. This is a flatter ball, around off. Ben cuts it towards Mohammad Wasim at backward point who dives to his right but doesn't stop the ball cleanly. The ball goes past him and the batters complete two runs. Ben McDermott then decides to set off for the third run but is sent back. Wasim recovers quickly and throws the ball towards the keeper. Mohammad Rizwan grabs the ball and disturbs the stumps. Ben tries to dive to get inside the crease but he falls well short. A disappointing end to a promising knock. 209/3
Marnus Labuschagne | 25 | 35 | 1 | 0 | 71.42 |
c Saud Shakeel b Khushdil Shah
38.1 OUT! WHAT A CATCH! Khushdil Shah has a wicket and Pakistan are doing a great job of chipping away at the wickets. Floated and full, landing around off, Marnus Labuschagne dances down the track for a lofted shot, perhaps over extra cover, but he ends up hitting it a lot straighter. Saud Shakeel wears his skates in the deep and rushes across to his left from long off. He then puts in a dive to complete the catch. Not a convincing knock from Marnus Labuschagne and he departs for a 35-ball 25. 224/4
Marcus Stoinis | 26 | 42 | 0 | 1 | 61.90 |
b Haris Rauf
46.4 OUT! BOWLED! A body blow to Australia at the backend of the innings as Marcus Stoinis departs. This is very clever bowling from Haris Rauf. He delivers it touch short and around off, at 129.5 kph. Marcus Stoinis camps on the back foot and tries to heave it over the leg side. But the ball arrives late and cuts back in a shade as well to beat his big swinging blade. It then goes on to light the bails and Haris Rauf is up and running in celebration. 277/6
Alex Carey Wk | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 100 |
b Zahid Mahmood
39.2 OUT! BOWLED AROUND HIS LEGS! What has Carey done here? This is a very ordinary shot selection from him given the situation of the game. A googly from Zahid Mahmood, he feeds it full and around leg, Alex Carey tries to be inventive with his reverse-batted shot but fails to connect. It lands and goes on to shatter the stumps. Australia are losing the plot badly here! 230/5

b Haris Rauf
48.5 OUT! Timber! This is very skilful from Haris Rauf. Dishes out a slower one by rolling his fingers on the side of the ball. The length is a bit short and the line is close to off, Sean Abbott hangs on the back foot, looking to heave it away but is way too early into the shot. He misses and the stumps take another beating. 296/7

Fakhar Zaman | 18 | 18 | 3 | 0 | 100 |
c Travis Head b Sean Abbott
4.3 OUT! CAUGHT! A very important wicket for Australia. Just a bit of a dry spell mounted pressure and Fakhar Zaman, in a bid to find a boundary, falls. Clever change in pace from Abbott. He realizes that the batter is itching to get a boundary, so he slows it up at 128.8 kph and delivers it full and around middle and off. Fakhar Zaman shimmies down the track and tries to loft it over mid off but fails to get the desired elevation. A simple catch for Travis Head at the edge of the circle and Sean Abbott draws first blood. 24/1
Imam-ul-Haq | 103 | 96 | 6 | 3 | 107.29 |
b Nathan Ellis
39 OUT! DEATH RATTLE! The crowd has gone silent. Imam's stay is over and that possibly is the final nail in the coffin as Pakistan still need 110 runs off 66 balls. Nathan Ellis comes up with a magical delivery, a near-yorker at 134.4 kph, Imam moves around inside the crease, steps back to make room for a drive but fails to keep this one out. The stumps are obliterated and Ellis jumps in joy. A quick pat on the back for Imam by Alex Carey and Australia are back on top now after a small period of pressure. 204/6
Babar Azam C | 57 | 72 | 6 | 0 | 79.16 |
lbw b Mitchell Swepson
24.1 OUT! LBW! Mitchell Swepson gets the big fish and this is a huge wicket in the context of the game! A very full ball, around leg and spinning towards middle. Babar Azam looks to sweep but he misses and gets pinged low on his pad. Australia appeal and the umpire agrees. Babar opts for a review but the Ball Tracking indicates three reds and Babar is a goner! A wicket on debut for Mitchell Swepson and that too of Pakistan's skipper. Australia have finally broken the partnership and they are right back in this contest. 120/2
Saud Shakeel | 3 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 37.50 |
c Marnus Labuschagne b Travis Head
26.4 OUT! CAUGHT! A soft dismissal now and Pakistan lose their third wicket. Head serves a flatter ball, on a fuller length around off and spinning away a touch. Saud Shakeel prods and looks to flick it across the line but gets a leading edge. He ends up chipping it straight to Marnus Labuschagne at short extra cover who takes a sitter. Pakistan are in a slight spot of bother now. What a day Head is having! Top captaincy from Aaron Finch to bring him back into the attack against the two left-handers. 182 needed off 140 balls. 132/3
Mohammad Rizwan Wk | 10 | 18 | 0 | 0 | 55.55 |
c Alex Carey b Adam Zampa
31 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Brilliant catch from Alex Carey behind the sticks. Australia are on top at the moment! Zampa serves a full ball, around leg. Rizwan looks to paddle it through fine leg but he only manages a slight tickle towards the keeper. Carey moves sharply towards his left and takes a fine catch. Pakistan are in deep trouble now as they lose their experienced batter in Rizwan. They still require 163 runs from 114 balls. 151/4
Iftikhar Ahmed | 2 | 9 | 0 | 0 | 22.22 |
c Sean Abbott b Travis Head
33.3 OUT! Iftikhar holes out and it's a tremendous catch from Sean Abbott in the deep. Head has two and he continues to have a fantastic match. Flighted delivery, landing full and on middle, Iftikhar Ahmed shimmies down the track and aims to clear long on. He times it decently and it's destined to go for a biggie. But Sean Abbott, near the fence, times his jump to perfection and plucks it out of thin air with both hands. Outstanding effort. Pakistan slip further and Imam-ul-Haq is running out of partners. 148 needed off 99 balls. 166/5
Khushdil Shah | 19 | 22 | 1 | 0 | 86.36 |
c Alex Carey b Adam Zampa
43.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Khushdil Shah tries to go big but ends up hitting high in the air, without any distance. This a googly, on a fuller length, outside off and turning away late. Khushdil Shah kneels and looks for a slog-sweep. It takes the top edge and goes high in the night sky towards the short cover region. Alex Carey calls for it from behind the sticks, runs there and pouches it safely. Australia are just 1 wicket away from a win now. 217/9
Hasan Ali | 2 | 9 | 0 | 0 | 22.22 |
b Adam Zampa
41.2 OUT! Clattered! Adam Zampa decides to fire in a short ball. It's quite quick and short around leg, skidding off the surface, Hasan Ali steps back to pull but the ball stays low and beats his bat. It makes contact with the leg stump and Pakistan lose their 7th wicket. 213/7
Mohammad Wasim | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
b Adam Zampa
41.3 OUT! Stumps are shattered and that's 100 ODI wickets for Adam Zampa! A special moment for the young leggie. He slows it up in the air and brings out his googly for the new batter. Lands it around off, Mohammad Wasim has no idea what's cooking there. He gets forward to defend but it beats the inside half of his bat and goes on to tickle the top of the off stump. The end is near for Pakistan. Zampa is on a hat-trick! 213/8
Haris Rauf | 7 | 17 | 1 | 0 | 41.17 |
c Cameron Green b Mitchell Swepson
45.2 OUT! CAUGHT! That is it! The debutant, Mitchell Swepson gets the last wicket and Pakistan are bowled out for 225! A loopy full toss, on middle. Rauf comes down the track and looks to clear long on. He does not time it well though and the ball goes high in the air. Cameron Green is there in the deep and takes a simple catch without moving an inch. Australia win by 88 runs! 225/10
