That is it from this game! The Windies just showed why they are the World Champions in this format with an impressive performance. However, cricket is the real winner in the end. The sport though continues as England will face Pakistan in the second Test on the 1st of June. Not to forget they are 1-0 down in the series. So that promises to be another exciting clash. We would love your company. Do join us for that. Till then, take care and goodbye.
Evin Lewis has been named the Man of the Match for his blazing 58 which laid the foundation for the Windies to post a big first innings total.
So a convincing win for the Windies. It was all set up by their batsmen in the first half and their bowlers too did a very good job. Chasing 200, the World XI's innings never took off. They lost four wickets in the Powerplay with Badree and Russell taking two each. Thisara Perera was the lone fighter as he notched up a half ton. He was well supported by Afridi but that was never going to be enough. Kesrick Williams was impressive at the death as he finished with a three fer.

Kesrick Williams To Mitchell McClenaghan OUT!
OUT! In the air... and that is another exceptional catch! Nurse is the man this time. Fuller ball on off, McClenaghan swings but only manages to hit it high up in the air. There were quite a few fielders converging towards the ball but Nurse who runs in from sweeper cover, calls for it and takes it diving forward. They go upstairs to check for the no ball but the bowler has not overstepped. Smiles in the Windies camp as THEY HAVE WON BY 72 RUNS!

A huge appeal but not given! McClenaghan goes for a reverse sweep but misses to get hit on the pads. The bowler appeals but the umpire shakes his head. Pitching outside leg. The umpire has not signaled it as a leg bye so there might be an inside edge.

Kesrick Williams To Rashid Khan OUT!
OUT! This looked plumb and the umpire agrees with the bowler. Little cameo from Rashid Khan ends. He was looking to tickle the fuller delivery fine but doesn't get any bat on it. The ball crashes into his pads, in front of his stumps and its bye bye to the Afghan magician.

Kesrick Williams To Thisara Perera OUT!
OUT! What a Catch! These skyscrapers are never easy but Williams has managed to hold onto it. And with that, the last ray of WXI hope is also walking back. Perera has played a good innings but couldn't get his team to the end. Coming to the delivery, he bowls it slow, on a goodish length and the batsman wanted to hit it out of the park but could only manage a top edge. The ball went high in the air, towards the vacant mid on region and Williams sprints back to take a stunner. Windies is going through the WXI batsman without breaking any sweating. ICC World XI have lost their seventh wicket.
Kesrick Williams in back into the attack.

One run. A half tracker from Nurse to start with. Rashid gets a good connection as he lofts it towards the wid-wicket boundary. The fielder runs in from the boundary to go for the catch, reaches it in time but couldn't hold onto it. The ball hits him in his leg and stays inside the rope. A lucky break for the leggie!
