So, the target for TKR to win their 3rd CPL title is 155 off 20 overs. All to their batters now. Can they do it or will the Zouks steal the game and the trophy? Join us in a while on the other side of the break as we bring the chase.
On the bowling front, TKR were taken to the cleaners by the Fletcher-Deyal stand early on. But then TKR regrouped post the drinks to send lightning crashing on the Zouks. Pollard finished with a 4-wicket haul and was well assisted by Fawad Ahmed and Ali Khan, both of whom bagged a couple. Apart from a few drop chances, the TKR fielders were superb in the field, especially Darren Bravo who took a couple of stunners near the rope.
What a comeback by TKR in the second half of the Zouks innings. The game started superbly with Cornwall and Deyal getting off well but the big man departed early. Deyal and Fletcher brought the Zouks on track for a big score. But an untimely wicket just ahead of the 10-over break spoiled their party. Andre Fletcher was going bang bang until Fawad Ahmed got introduced as the spinner and he wrecked havoc in the St Lucia camp.What turned out in the second half of the innings was a commendable job from the TKR bowlers. Led by their skipper, the Knight Riders crawled back with a bang as wickets tumbled in quick succession. The Zouks, in pursuit of quick runs gifted their wickets to poor shots.
