So, that completes our coverage of our double header today. Hope you enjoyed all the action. There is another double header tomorrow at Dharamsala, weather permitting. Netherlands take on Ireland at 1500 IST while Bangladesh face Oman at 1930 IST with the second encounter being a knockout game. Do join us for those matches. Until then, it's goodbye from us.
TANWIR AFZAL says that he is disappointed by the results of the tournament. Feels that his team is better than what the results show. States that Hong Kong will go back home and work hard on rectifying their mistakes. Hopes that they can bounce back strongly in future matches.
PRESTON MOMMSEN says that it is a huge moment for Scotland as it's their maiden win in Global events. Hopes that his team can keep qualifying for such tournaments again in future and then take confidence out of this win. Reveals that there aren't much matches for Scotland in the near future and hopes that his team gets more international games soon. Ends by saying that there will be big celebrations tonight by his team.
MATT MACHAN (MAN OF THE MATCH) says that he is very happy to win the Man-of-the-Match award but states that winning their first ever Global event game is more significant. Although the opponent isn't strong, he states that he is very happy at Scotland creating history. Feels that they had many chances to win in recent past but couldn't finish it off. Credits the team's bowlers for setting it up nicely for the Scots.
There wasn't any help for the spinners at all due to all the rain that had fallen. Campbell and Aizas picked a wicket apiece but that was more due to the batsmen's intent than their craftiness. Overall, a disappointing game for Hong Kong who earlier managed a very moderate score earlier in the night thanks to contributions from Chapman and Rath with a late cameo from Nizakat. It wasn't enough in the end as the Scots romped home.
That completes a crushing win for Scotland - their first ever in Global events. Chasing a revised target of 76 off 10 overs under the D/L method, Coetzer and Munsey got their team off to a flying start. Both departed while going for the big hits. Cross then blasted a cameo and sealed the chase with the dashing Machan as Scotland won with 2 overs left. Hong Kong's bowlers couldn't do much due to the reduced playing conditions. The wet conditions didn't help their cause either as it was difficult to grip the ball.

FOUR RUNNING RUNS! Full length and outside off, Machan gets an inside edge towards the off side. Machan takes two and there is a shy at the non striker's end. The throw is very wide and the ball goes towards mid-wicket and they take another two. Poor stuff that.

Aizaz Khan To Matthew Cross OUT!
OUT! Caught in the deep! Short ball angling in, Cross once again looks to go big on the leg side. He doesn't get enough blade on it and ends up mistiming it high in the air towardsa mid-wicket where Nizakat takes an easy catch. No worries for Scotland as they need 20 from 23 balls.
AIZAZ KHAN comes into the attack.
The heavens have opened up again. But the good thing for Scotland is that they are ahead on D/L by 14 runs.
