That's it from this game! We have our top 4 teams which have made it through. Karachi who were in contention before this game will be playing on Monday and they'll be facing Zalmi. Another exciting encounter. Do join us for it. Till then, goodbye and take care.
Rossouw the skipper of Quetta says that one could see the emotions there and they did their job well. Adds that Wasim played well and that he was told to swing hard. Adds that they were targeting the short boundaries and they are happy to be on the winning side. Ends by saying that they want to beat the top side Multan now.
Shakeel is the Player of the Match says that he was thinking to take the game deep and gives credit to Wasim for the finish. Says that he got to know the pitch early and that he has played a lot of cricket in Karachi and it helped him a lot.
Shaheen the skipper of Qalandars credits Quetta for their win. Adds that they played good cricket but 160 was never going to be enough on this pitch. He says that they fought hard and went onto the final over. Says he is sad and they he should've defended 14 runs. Adds Shakeel was brilliant and he played good cricket. Ends by saying that they need to prepare for the next season.
This loss sums Lahore's season, they have just struggled to win games no matter how many good positions they get themselves into. They bowled so well in trying to defend an under par score. The likes of Raza, Jahandad Khan wbo was the pick and Shaheen did really well for most parts but they just couldn't hold their neves when it mattered. Maybe one could question why Zaman, who has been their best bowler in the death for a while wasn't given his quota but despite that, they were in a good position hta have finished second best yet again.
He was the real star with the bat! He held fort at one end and kept his nerve despite losing wickets at the other end. Not only that, he really wasn't at his fluent best but managed to find the fence when needed. He got decent support from Roy at the start and Nafay in the middle but he was the key for Quetta in chasing this total down.
What a game! The Quetta team members are over the moon. Why not? They've made it through the next round and what a way to do so! Wasim, you beauty! However, credit has to be given to Shakeel.
