So, that's all from the ODI series. The Kiwis are overwhelmed with their performance and it's an emotional day for them for the obvious reason, McCullum's retirement. The teams will now fight for the 2-match Test series starting 12th February, 2016 at 1030 local time (2130GMT). We look forward to your company. Until then, goodbye and take care!
MAN OF THE MATCH GOES TO ISH SODHI for those crucial breakthroughs. His figures stand 31/2 in 8 overs.
Australia will go back and remember how much those dropped catches and sloppy fielding cost them. In the end, they all count and look what impact it had on the result. Well, tough time for the Aussies but they are the team who learn from their mistakes in no time.
Marsh once again proved his mettle but his effort was tragically cut short by an unfortunate dismissal and once that happened, the Kiwis ran through the batting line-up and bowled Australia out for 9 short of 200. Matt Henry was on song right from the start of the match and it paid off. He grabbed a 3-fer, while Milne got 2. Not to forget, the leggie Ish Sodhi who didn't make his side miss the services of Santner. He took the responsibility on his shoulders and delivered the goods by giving a couple of blows to the Aussies in the same over. He bowled a vandalizing spell by picking up 2 wickets in the given 8 overs by giving away just 31 runs.
The Kiwis have done it for their Talisman, Brendon McCullum. They have given a perfect farewell to the master. It's said you need to be lucky to retire with a series win in your final game and that too in your own den and Baz has done it. With the way the Aussies started the chase, things looked handy for the visitors but once the openers were dismissed, the middle-order was exposed and they flopped, Smith and Maxwell in particular.
A terrific win for New Zealand, by 55 RUNS. They retain the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy by winning the 3-match series 2-1.

AFTER 40 OVERS AUS ARE 184/8. New Zealand continue to pick wickets and have tightened the noose on the Aussies. Number nine, ten and jack are left with a big task in front. The hosts definitely are the favourites but cricket is a game of uncertainties. 63 needed off 60 balls. Due to the lack of TV feed there will be no commentary but we will provide you with updates.
