That is is for the day from our side. A lot of cricket to look forward to in the upcoming few weeks. Keep checking this space for all the action. Till then, Ciao!
India have begun their tour of U.K positively. After the first T20I, they tried out their bench strength. A team without the mainstays in the playing XI and yet it was too much for the Irish team, which must have given some happy headaches to the management. Most of the players look in a great touch, well prepared for the tough tour of England. Just one thing which is missing is perhaps the time Virat Kohli hasn't spent out in the middle. He would like to get few balls out of the middle of the bat and get going for the clash against the in-form English team.
Virat Kohli, the winning skipper, says that this is the right kind of momentum his side would have wanted before facing England. Talks about having a headache about picking the playing XI. Adds that it is a great positive for his team and wants more of these. About England as an opponent, he states that their own strengths are important than the opponents. Opines that if they play at their best, it should be a very competing series. Reckons that the system for training is a well laid one, as a result nobody takes anything for granted. As a result, he adds, the preparation and the efforts from the players are not at all reduced. Adds further that the players taking responsibility bodes well as it reduces the burden on him and the management.
Gary Wilson, the losing captain, states that the fact that they didn't put up a fight with the bat is disappointing. Adds that the end overs with the ball also cost them. Says that it wouldn't have mattered much had they batted first. About the lessons to be learnt, he reckons that the experience of the Indian T20 League has helped India and more application on their own part would be the right way forward.
Man of the Series is Yuzvendra Chahal for his two 3-fers in consecutive games. He says that the wicket was turning so he varied his pace and bowled accordingly. Further adds that whenever he saw the batsman looking to hit, he tossed up even more and let the pitch do the work. Ends by saying that he has practised hard before the series, he had chosen the balls he is going to ball to the different batsman and it has worked well for him.
KL Rahul is the Man of the Match for his 70 off 36. He says that it is important for him to make use of the opportunities that he gets. Adds that he looked to extend his good form from the Indian T20 League. States that he was looking to stand deep in the crease and use the pace that he gets to score the runs. Reckons that he is determined to get runs every single time he is left out of the team. Adds that his focus is on playing well and being fit always. Talks about this being his first tour to the UK, hence would look forward to doing well every single time. Adds that the challenges are whole-heartedly accepted by him.
Earlier in the day, the hosts were rocked back by KL Rahul and Suresh Raina as they put up a 106-run stand. They took a liking to most of the bowlers and only Kevin O'Brien could manage to put some life in their bowling. However, at the fag end of India's innings, Hardik Pandya brutalized the medium pacer and took the score past 200, the second time in two games. The presentation follows...
What a comprehensive victory for Team India. They have swept away Ireland and won the game on a canter by 143 runs. The misery was started by Umesh Yadav and was cleaned up by the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Both of them took three wickets each while the pacer took two. Ireland never got off in this run-chase as they lost their first on the very second ball of the innings. Only four of their batsmen crossed the double-digit mark and only eight boundaries were scored, which should explain the things pretty well.

Kuldeep Yadav To George Dockrell OUT!
OUT! Catching practise! Tossed up ball around middle, Dockrell looks to clear Malahide. All he manages to do is clear up the crease for another man to take his place in the middle. He finds Umesh Yadav at long on to perfection. As easy as it gets. The Yadavs and the Indians rejoice.

Loopy around off, George goes for the conventional sweep but gets it off the top edge. The ball goes behind the keeper and the fielder from third man goes after it. Umesh puts in a dive to stop it and parries it to Raina, the slip fielder, throws it back. Team work from Team India.
