That's it from our side for this match. To catch more cricketing action you can switch tabs to the India vs England game. Hope to have your company the next time around. Till then, have fun and stay healthy. Tata, Bye-Bye, Chao, Fir Milenge, Sayonara!
Afghansistan captain, Asghar Afghan says he is proud of the way his team played, especially his bowlers. Adds that he is proud of the wicket he took but gives all the credit to his fielders and his bowlers. Ends by thanking the support they got in the matches they played throughout the country.
Ireland captain, William Porterfield says that it wasn't a wrong decision to bat first but a wrong total. It's always difficult against such bowling lie up. Adds that in the first two matches, they managed to make it even but in the last one, it was too much to be done. Implies that he is proud of the boys they played. Ends by saying that they did not had much cricket in between so he is looking forward to the upcoming tournaments.
Player of the series, Rashid Khan, starts by thanking the almighty. Adds that it was quiet tough for him in the second match but he wanted to comeback nicely and he got the results in the third one on a difficult track. Further adds that the weather has been great and he really enjoyed cricket here. Ends by saying that he is hopeful of coming back again and playing in this beautiful country.
However, that was not to happen as Afghanistan showed just why the cricketing world is so excited about the progress of this wonderful set of players. Ireland, on the other hand, will hope to learn some important lessons from this tour and hope to raise their game in their future tournaments.
Afghanistan will be more than happy with their performance today. Their bowlers were right on the button as they just did not allow the Irish batsmen to settle in and put up a decent enough score. Their bowlers, spinners and pacers sharing five a piece, were just too good for the hosts. Rashid Khan, in particular, was in his elements as he mesmerized the hosts with his guile and skill, picking up three wickets. After restricting Ireland to a paltry total of 124, only a miracle or some harakiri from the Afghans could have saved the home team.
That is domination of the highest level by the Asian team. Afghanistan have chased this down with 26.1 overs and 8 wickets remaining. They finish the tour on a high. Though the home team showed good fighting spirit by bouncing back in the last game, the visitors were back to their best. They bounced back with a clinical performance to bag the ODI series after sweeping the home team away in the T20Is.

FOUR! GAME...SET...and MATCH! A comprehensive and deserving win for the visiting team they have dominated this match. McBrine pulls the length a bit short, Shahidi rocks back quickly and pulls it over the mid-wicket region for a boundary. This pair of Shahidi and Ihsanullah have chased this down on a canter.

Short again from over the wicket. It's angled into Shahidi's ribs. He gets on his toes and tucks it away towards the fine leg region for a single.

Shahidi takes on the short ball again, tries to pull again but does not connect anywhere near as good as the first ball. No run.

FOUR! Masterful stroke! Chase bangs it short just outside off, Shahidi picks up the length early, swivels and pulls it exquisitely towards the deep square leg region. The timing and placement carries the ball over the ropes.

Misfield! Shahidi cleverly guides the slow, shortish ball through the backward point region. Kevin there misfields and allows the batsmen take three. 9 more needed now or I should, just a formality left to be done.

That's the highest score in the ODIs for Janat now, beating his previous best of 54 against Zimbabwe earlier this year. He gets a shortish ball around off and he gets it through the off side to reach his milestone.

FOUR! The difference between the two sides is visible here. Andy bowls a loopy ball on middle and off, Janat sweeps it up and over the square leg region and gets another boundary.
