Scotland Women have been pushed out of the race after the washout of their game and for Sri Lanka Women, they still have a do-or-die game against Australia Women. The captain of India Women Under-19, Niki Prasad says that she is really happy with their overall performance, giving a good show. On being asked about the opening bowlers, she mentions that it is the need for every team for the pacers to provide those early breakthroughs and set the tone forward. India won the game comfortably in just 7.1 overs with 8 wickets intact. A good day at the office for the girls and the management surely will be a happy one on the Indian side.
Good decision from the India Women Under-19 to bowl first under the circumstances on an overcast sky. Bangladesh Women Under-19 were on the back foot from the start itself after losing 3 quick wickets. Vaishnavi Sharma then picked up 3 wickets for herself, climbing up to the top of the wicket-takers list in the tournament. The Bangladesh Women Under-19 middle order was taken by surprise and after some resistance from the lower order, Bangladesh managed a first-innings score of 64/8 after batting the whole 20 overs.
India Women Under-19 clinch up a good win against Bangladesh Women Under-19, putting a better performance in all three parts of the game. Chasing down 65 in 7.1 overs with 8 wickets in hand takes the Indian team to the top of the table, equalling the points with Australia, and staying ahead on the net run rate!
