That is it! The trophy has been handed over to Heather Knight. England take the series but India have the momentum as the focus shifts to the Test match now. Join us on the 14th of this month at 9.30 am IST (4 am GMT) for all the coverage. Cheers!
Heather Knight says she wanted to expose some of the young players and it was good learning for them. Adds India bowled well, they were sub-par with the total but overall it was a good series to win. Reckons 140 could had been a good score. Tells they played well while losing wickets and a couple of young players came up so, that is the positive signs.
Natalie Sciver-Brunt wins the Player of the Series award. She says the wicket was tricky as compared to the first game, but India bowled well today. Shares she is committed to her shots and she is working hard and is going well.
Shreyanka Patil wins the Player of the Match award. She says she is really proud to win the award with her family watching her. Adds to bowl in tandem with Deepti Sharma helps a lot as both have a lot of conversation. Reckons she enjoyed all three wickets.
Harmanpreet Kaur says she is fine with her injury. Adds they improved as a team. Shares the wicket was tricky to bat as some of the ball were turning and some were going straight. Reckons they targeted a couple of bowlers while chasing.
...Presentation time...
England Women made quite a few changes to their side. With the series already under the belt, they tested a few things. Although they were too conservative with their batting. They could have scored 15-20 more runs but there were too many dot balls. Heather Knight scored a fifty but it was on a slower side. However, the way India bowled throughout, it didn't give much chance for England to shift the gears.
A comfortable win in the end for India and they do take some consolation prize from this series. The bowlers did a really good job in the start. They could have kept England Women near 100 but still had things covered. Renuka Singh ended with two wickets while Saika Ishaque and Shreyanka Patil ended with three each. In reply, it was Smriti Mandhana who anchored the innings for a long part. She fell two short of her fifty but the job was half-done till then. Harmanpreet Kaur did the finishing jobs for her team.
