The skipper of Bangladesh Women, Nigar Sultana says they failed with the bat and those wickets at the top in the Powerplay cost them this game. Adds it gets really difficult to bounce back after those wickets at the top and feel that the opposition played to their mind as the way they play against Malaysia and those opponents is different from what they do against a team like India. Yes, there is a lot of difference in class between the two sides but Bangladesh will be disappointed they did not even compete. With the bat, they were very poor and with the ball, they will be disappointed they could not take a wicket at least. Yes, India were massive favourites heading into this game but we expected Bangladesh to show some fight.
India storms into yet another final! A very, very convincing win for them! Their bowlers set it up by restricting Bangladesh to a very low score. Then, it was all about their openers, actually, Smriti Mandhana. She took the attack to the bowlers and scored a fine half-ton. Shafali Verma played second fiddle and did so nicely to give India a strong win.
