Two matches done and dusted and what this series is telling us that it is a deathbed for the bowlers. How will the third ODI turn out to be? It is a dead rubber but India will aim for a whitewash while England will play for pride. Both teams will have one eye on the Champions Trophy preparations which is later this year. The final ODI is in Kolkata, so run-scoring may not be that easy. Join us on Sunday, 22nd January, 2017 at 1330 IST (0800 GMT). Until then, Adios! Take Care!
YUVRAJ SINGH has been named the Man Of The Match for his 127-ball 150. He admits that the domestic season really helped him, not only for his form but also his fitness. Smiles shyly on being asked about marriage bringing him luck, but credits his mother and sage too. On his stand with Dhoni, he says that the pair knows each other and played according to the situation. Adds that they were not looking for a big score and only looked to concentrate on getting a partnership. Further says after 40 overs, with wickets in hand, even 350 was gettable. Rates this innings as his best ever in ODIs. Says that he wanted to prove a point to myself than anyone else. Credits his diet regime for his fitness levels.
Victorious Indian captain VIRAT KOHLI says that he was wondering where India would have ended up had the team got off to a good start. Praises both the stalwarts, Dhoni and Yuvraj and stresses that this was why Yuvraj was brought back into the side. Says that 340 was par but chaseable, because of the way England go hard at the ball. Adds that 380 was out of reach. Praises his bowlers for bowling really well in spite of the dew. Feels that the next game will be the key for the Indian top order to express itself. Is happy about the batting order's depth and just needs a bit of working over. Praises his spinners for doing well, especially for picking up wickets in the middle overs and pulling things back. Adds that India have played only to 75 percent of its potential and Kolkata might be the place to give its 100 percent.
England skipper, EOIN MORGAN says that his team was not at its best again, with either bat or ball. Admits that India outplayed them on similar conditions to the other night. Agrees that the bowling failed today and they came up against Dhoni and Yuvraj on a rampage. Says that they tried hard to break the partnership but could not do so. On the run chase, he is proud of the fight shown by his side but feels that they lacked the skill. Thanks the fans for supporting both teams.
Not a series for bowlers. Around 700 runs were scored the other night and tonight, 747 have been scored. The spinners did the trick for India, with Ashwin and Jadeja going for just 110 in 20 overs combined, picking up 4 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was excellent at the death, stifling the batsmen.
India were a bit worried during the 40-over mark but Moeen Ali's wicket opened the floodgates. In the end, it was too much left for Morgan to do and he fell after scoring a magnificent 102.
England did not get off to the best of starts, losing Alex Hales early. But then, Roy and Root fought hard with a century stand. India then bounced back with three wickets in 32 balls and the tourists seemed to be getting rolled over. But Moeen Ali and skipper Morgan then revived their team with a quickfire stand of 93 from just 73 balls.
Another excellent contest. The result was not too much in doubt after India made 381 but Eoin Morgan took the game close, giving the hosts some doubts. Eventually, it turned out to be 20 runs too many for the visiting side.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar To David Willey
A wide yorker outside off, Willey swings hard but gets a bottom edge which is stopped by Dhoni. The batsmen take a quick single. Unless Bhuvneshwar Kumar does something out of the blue, India should walk home victorious with England needing 17 from the last 2 balls.

FOUR! Streaky. Full and outside off, Plunkett gets across a long way and looks to paddle but gets a leading edge wihch flies over Bhuvneshwar Kumar at short third man for a boundary. Bhuvi was initially going to his left but then had to go back. Anyways, would have not got to the ball.

Jasprit Bumrah To Liam Plunkett OUT!
OUT! Morgan is run out! That should seal the game and series for India. A full ball outside off, almost a yorker, Plunkett drives this straight back to Bumrah. Morgan is backing out of his crease, looking for the single and has no time to get back. Bumrah runs and fires a throw at the stumps. End of a very good innings, gave England some chance.

Jasprit Bumrah To Eoin Morgan
