This is what you call a crunch game! The Asian teams provided entertainment to us but it's India who emerged victorious in the end. That wraps up the things for today. We have no match tomorrow but we have another double-header coming your way on the 25th of March, 2016. First we have, Australia vs Pakistan in Mohali at 1500 IST followed by South Africa vs West Indies in Nagpur at 1930 IST! We wish all our users a very Happy Holi! Until next time, it's goodbye!
MASHRAFE MORTAZA says his bowlers did a great job. Adds they should have taken singles in the last over instead of hitting. Is very, very disappointed with those last three balls. Further says he is absolutely bewailed after today's loss.
MS DHONI says (On that last over) he doesn't want to say everything. Where to bowl, what to bowl, were the things that were being discussed. Adds he had a luxury to think of all that. Furthers adds if you have wickets in hand you have a chance. (On Mahmudullah) This is a learning curve for him and for us. Feels it's important to decide which shot you want to go about as it is easy to give commentary later on. Appreciates the way Bumrah bowled, agrees he was under pressure when he bowled his second over but they told him if you get your yorkers right, you will do well. On the match, says bowling was good and fielding can be improved. What was told to Pandya in the last over, he was told not to bowl yorkers but a back of a length ball and what the field will be. Ends by saying Pandya executed everything very well.
MAN OF THE MATCH, RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN says they were very worried all throughout. Credits Bangladesh for the way they played. Says he will go and crash as he has no energy left in him. Adds he (Bumrah) dropped that catch and had to comeback for them. Appreciates him for his spell in the death over. Further says his team has not batted well since they pose a great batting unit. Informs if they fire all cylinders, they will do well further for sure. Says he had emotions running through him and ends by saying this performance doesn't count them favorites but it is the right time for them to peak.
Bumrah was under pressure but his deadly yorkers, Nehra's experience and Pandya's composure in the last over sealed it for the mighty Indians. With this they have strengthened their chances to make it through to the semis but for Bangladesh, it's done and dusted.
Ashwin came and got Shakib on the very first ball of his second spell and then it seemed the flood gates will open for the Indians. But Mahmudullah and Sarkar kept fighting and fighting and brought this down to the wire. The Indians were very sloppy in the field as they dropped a couple of crucial catches. If you go to see, the bowlers did a fabulous job for them in the end.
Give me a break! This is what you call a humdinger in every sense. It was Pandya who kept his nerves and bowled a brilliant last over. He had 11 runs to defend and he did exceptionally well. Bangladesh started off brilliantly as they were firing on all cylinders. Tamim and Sabbir started the charge and Shakib carried it forward.

Hardik Pandya To Shuvagata Hom OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! MS Dhoni does it for India! Short of a length ball outside off, Hom looks to slash but gets beaten completely. They look to steal a bye but Dhoni collects the ball, runs towards the stumps and instead of throwing it he himself uproots the stumps. The umpires check upstairs and the replays show Rahman is well short. The crowd is going bonkers and I am sure each and every Indian must be on cloud 9! INDIA WIN BY 1 RUN!
Third umpire is called for! Has Dhoni taken the bails?
MUSTAFIZUR RAHMAN walks in next! What do we have in store? A Super Over? Fasten your seat belts, folks!!
