THE RAIN HAS STOPPED! THE COVERS ARE OFF! However, we are past the cut off time and the game has been CALLED OFF! It is India who win it by 30 runs by DLS method. India should consider themselves a tad lucky they got in the 5 overs. The clouds were threatening right from the start of the second innings but it came shortly after India completed the five overs they needed to bowl. However, they deserved this victory. Their batters set it up for them. Excellent knocks from Sabbhineni Meghana and Shafali Verma ensured they got to a big score and later on, they unleashed the spinners as the rain was looming around and they needed to get the five overs in and they did the job.
Nothing new to update! The rain continues to come down, chances of a resumption looks unlikely. Fingers crossed though.
Halt in play as the umpires are have a conversation. The Malaysia Women's baters do not want to come off but the umpires have called for the covers. The rain has got heavier and the players make their way off. India are well and truly ahead in the game.
