It was never going to be an easy chase for Hobart Hurricanes. Matthew Wade and Caleb Jewell were dismissed cheaply and were sent back early. D'Arcy Short was in the middle for a while, but never found his momentum and could never get going. Ben McDermott was the only batter who found his rhythm and displayed his hard-hitting abilities in the middle. Also, he helped Hobart Hurricanes achieve that Bash Boost Point. But he could not hold on to his innings till the end and fell to Tymal mills and shattered the hopes of Hobart Hurricanes. They were completely outplayed today, and now they lose their second game in the Big Bash League 2021/22.
An absolute dominance by Perth Scorchers, they have managed to grab the three points. Their entire bowling unit was outstanding. Tymla Mills was the pick of the bowlers, he managed to scalp 3 wickets. Andrew Tye did leak a few runs but he came back stronger and picked two important wickets. Not to forget the spinners, who were phenomenal too. They win by a big margin and seal the number one spot with a total of 10 points.
Perth Scorchers make it three in three and they move to the top of the table. After an exceptional performance with the bat, they have been flawless with the ball. Hobart Hurricanes were beaten all the place, no batters found their rhythm in the middle, however, they have managed to grab one point through the Bash Boost Point.
