That is it from our side for this match. England have leveled the series with a thumping victory in the Mecca of cricket and set up thrilling game for the third and the final ODI of the series. However, the cricket continues around the globe. You can catch the second Test between Windies and Bangladesh just by switching tabs. We will see you again at 1230 GMT (1130 local) on Tuesday at Headingley, Leeds. Till then, ciao!
Man of the Match Joe Root says that it's similar for everyone as he believes the more time one spends in the middle the better they feel with their craft. Believes that the team has been playing a great brand of cricket throughout this summer. Praises the bowling effort from the bowler and says it was crucial to beat a team like India. Talks about learning from their mistakes and taking it an over at a time.
England captain Eoin Morgan says they learnt a lot from their mistakes in the previous game. Praises his batters, especially David Willey's innings at the end. Backs up his decision to bat first as it's his home ground and he knows the conditions better. Further asserts that Joe Root and his experience is immense, more so on sluggish pitches like these. Ends by saying that he believes that if they continue to play the way they did today, they should win the next in Leed's.
India captain Virat Kohli starts by saying that the pitch got slower in the second innings and adds that once you lose three wickets early, it gets difficult to chase a stiff target on such a wicket. Asserts that they like to test the character of the team and backs up the bowlers they played today. Praises the spin duo of Moeen Ali and Rashid Ali who he feels put them under pressure and didn't allow them to get runs. Defends MS Dhoni's innings and says that he is a match-winner and he will come good, if not today. Further adds that it was a bad day for most of our batters and believes that they will bounce back in the next match. Ends by saying that England is a good side and he expected them to bounce back after the loss.
India on the other hand had a decent start as the Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan put up a 49-run partnership. Once the former threw his wicket away, two quick wickets pushed the asking rate. After that, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina stitched a threatening 80-run stand but both got out at the wrong time. This put the batters coming in under pressure and made them play rash shots. The spin of Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid bowled superbly as they didn't allow the lower order batters to get runs. Liam Plunkett ran through the lower order as India succumbed on the slower pitch.
That is it. England have leveled the series in a grand fashion. They have outplayed the Men in Blue at Mecca of cricket and win the second ODI by 86 runs. After a dominating performance with the bat, their bowlers put their hands up and went through the dangerous looking batting line-up of the visitors. Liam Plunkett took a 4-fer, however, it was a win set up all the bowlers. Everyone except Ben Stokes got into wickets and made a mockery of the Indian chase.

David Willey To Yuzvendra Chahal OUT!
OUT! And England have their revenge. They defeat India by a big margin and add salt to their wounds by bowling them out as well. Fuller on the stumps, Chahal looks to go big downtown but can only loft it as far as Ben Stokes at mid on, positioned at the edge of the circle. ENGLAND WIN BY 86 RUNS!

David Willey To Yuzvendra Chahal
Comical stuff out in the middle. Chahal taps this towards backward point, sets off but seeing Moeen Ali diving and stopping the ball, he rushes to get back before the throw comes in. It misses, he tries to steal one now but another throw comes in from square leg and he has to dive back in again. Hilarious.

FOUR! A bright smile on Chahal's face. He raises his bat to his dressing room, probably happy he didn't get out for a duck. Full and straight, Chahal throws his front leg out of the way and smashes it straight back down the ground for a boundary.

Liam Plunkett To Siddarth Kaul OUT!
OUT! Second of the over, England one step close to victory. Taking the review was a mere formality. Length ball around off, it cuts back in and hits Siddarth Kaul on the pads. Flush in front of the stumps, loud appeal goes up and so does the finger. Kaul takes the review, but it doesn't help him. He's out of here.
