Sophie Ecclestone is the Player of the Match. She says she is happy to take more responsibility. ...Presentation coming up...
For England, a couple of batters got off to starts and that is what they needed chasing a small total. It was Sophia Dunkley at the start and Alice Capsey who played well to help her side over the line. Earlier in the day, after electing to bowl, England managed to restrict India to just over 120. It was a combined and excellent bowling performance and in reply, they chased the total quite easily.
For India, 122 was never going to be enough and they did not start all that well with the ball too. They leaked runs in the Powerplay and fell well behind in the game. Radha Yadav though did give her side a sniff by keeping it tight but even then they needed something magical which did not happen.
A convincing win in the end for England and they have sealed the T20I series. There was a moment where it seemed like India have a sniff but Alice Capsey and Bryony Smith played brilliantly to take England over the line.
