Kieron Pollard the skipper of the New York Strikers says that Raina played a good game. Adds that their guys came on then and showed what they can do and they are looking forward to tomorrow's game. Eoin Morgan is the man of the match. He says that the wicket was good to bat on. Adds that it is all about staying in good position and win the game. Says that he really enjoys this format as it is amazing to see the good players play some good cricket.

Earlier in the game, Deccan Gladiators chose to bat and lost wickets in a jiffy. They were five down inside five overs but Odean Smith and Raina stood firm for the Gladiators and saved the sinking ship for them. Had it not been for them, they would have been bundled early on in the game. They managed to put on a competitive total on the scoreboard scoring 38 and 28 respectively. Akeal Hosein and Matiullah Khan were the picks of the bowlers for the New York Strikers.
Talking about the Deccan Gladiators, their bowlers struggled their way to bag wickets for their team. None of their bowlers were economical keeping the target in mind and the New York Strikers always had the game in their control. They will look to bounce back now and let go of this game.
This has been an excellent batting display from the New York Strikers. It was a perfect team effort from them. Andre Fletcher played an excellent cameo in the start, Paul stirling was brilliant scoring 25 off 16 deliveries and at the end, Eoin Morgan and Azam Khan finishing it off for them in style. Azam Khan did get a lifeline in the game where the ball kissed the stumps but the bails didnot come off. It was a bit of worrisome for them at the end where they needed a run a ball but Azam Khan did well under pressure.
