Mumbai will host Pune for the first game on 16th May, Hyderabad and Kolkata will then battle it out at Bangalore in the Eliminator next day. The winner of the Qualifier 1 will go through to the final while the loser will battle it out with the winner of the Eliminator on 19th. We look forward to your company for those games. Until then, goodbye and take care!
Phew! So that completes our formalities for the league stage of the Indian T20 League 2017. It has been some ride with a few close games and a few one-sided contests, like the one we had earlier today. We have the four teams for the playoffs. Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata!
Man of the Match, Harshal Patel says that it has not been easy for him with the team losing a lot of games. Rues that he could not show the good form he is in. Is happy that it came out well today for him. Feels that one gets a lot of time for themselves during the tournament so he was just keeping himself ready for any possible chance.
Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli says that he is really happy with the win. Reckons that it was not easy waiting in during the 6-day break after losing badly in their previous fixture. Says that this has been a season to forget and move on but also calls it a reality check for them. Feels that every game is an opportunity and hopes this season turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Mentions that the combination next year solely depends on the amount of players allowed to retain. Informs there will be a party tonight as everyone will disperse tomorrow. Credits Avesh Khan for rushing the batsmen with his pace, something he feels most bowlers can't do that easily. Also applauds Harshal Patel for his brilliant performance despite not getting a lot of games. Informs that he was feeling good in the middle and his chip drive six against Corey Anderson was just the extension of the arms and nothing more. Calls it a good preparation for the Champions Trophy.
Delhi skipper, Zaheer Khan says that this game just summarizes their story for this season. Mentions that they lacked the experience in the batting order to pull off such chases throughout the tournament. Says that they had the young talent but not the maturity on the slower wickets. Reckons that people are able to see new shots and new variations in the game of cricket and that is always a positive. Feels that Mumbai and Kolkata are the top contenders for the trophy as they have been consistent throughout.
Rishabh Pant then was fighting a lone battle as he kept losing partners at the other end. The hosts were eventually bowled out in the last over as the visitors won only their third game of the season. Patel was expensive yet was the best bowler for them taking 3 for 43. Pawan Negi too chipped in with 3 for 10. The home side will feel the inexperience in the batting order has cost them yet again. It has been the prime reason for their failure in this edition. The tourists won their last game against the very same opponents so they will be happy to have done the double over them.
Bangalore have won a game at last! It has been a long time coming for them. Delhi were not chasing a big score but the young top order again played too many shots too early. When Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were batting well it looked like the hosts would chase it down easily but Harshal Patel brought the visitors back in the game with two wickets in two balls.

Pawan Negi To Shahbaz Nadeem OUT!
OUT! All over! Drifting down the leg side, Nadeem looks to clear Delhi but fails to connect well. The ball falls straight down the throat of Jadhav at deep mid-wicket who takes a good catch. BANGALORE WIN BY 10 RUNS!

Pawan Negi To Shahbaz Nadeem
Nadeem steps down and tries to go for the biggie. Gets an inside edge and the ball goes towards the keeper on a bounce who cannot collect it cleanly. He runs after it and then scores a direct hit at the striker's end. Nadeem though was well in.

Pawan Negi To Mohammed Shami OUT!
OUT! Negi gets his man! Quicker one outside off, Shami stays in his crease and swings with all his might to clear the fence. Misses it completely and the keeper collects it to dislodge the bails. He appeals for a stumping and the umpire goes upstairs. Replays show that Shami's back leg was on the line with nothing behind and he has to depart after a superb cameo. Delhi need 12 runs off 4 balls.
Third umpire referred for a stumping appeal against Shami. Looks close!
