Bangladesh got off to a shaky start, losing two early wickets, before Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan added 63 runs for the third wicket. Tanzid scored 89, but his dismissal triggered a collapse, with Shepherd's hat-trick and contributions from Jason Holder, Khary Pierre, Akeal Hosein, and Roston Chase restricting Bangladesh to a modest total.
Bangladesh's bowling was underwhelming, with Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain struggling to contain the Windies' batting lineup. Despite Rishad's 3 wickets, he was expensive and failed to create the impact his side needed. Nasum and Mahedi each picked up a wicket, but it wasn't enough to stop the Windies' victory.
The Windies chased down 152 with ease, thanks to some solid batting. Amir Jangoo set the tone with aggressive batting, with Roston Chase and Ackeem Auguste carrying on the momentum, scoring half-centuries each. Amir Jangoo contributed 34 crucial runs before getting out at the top.
