Sran was clearly the best of the bowlers and he bowled an outstanding first spell. After that, none of the bowlers were able to do anything substantial and Sran ended up picking up 3 wickets on debut. The spinners were not at all impressive and were scored off very easily in the middle overs. Ashwin and Jadeja both had an economy of over 6.5! Australia will be pretty pleased with their effort and it was a good game of cricket at the end of the day.
A comfortable victory for the Aussies. They lost their openers pretty early on in the innings and it was the debutant Barinder Sran who got both of them. He got Bailey off the first ball as well but the umpire wasn't in favor of the bowler. What followed later was merciless by the duo of Bailey and Smith. They added 242 runs for the third wicket and in the process also brought up their respective centuries.
