Tinashe Panyangara was hot and cold with his performance. On one hand he went for plenty of runs and on the other hand picked wickets too to keep his side interested. He finished with a four-wicket haul and the other bowler who impressed the most was Tendai Chatara with bowling figures of 4-0-20-1. Zimbabwe fought hard till the end and would be crestfallen after the defeat.

Phew! What a terrific game we just witnessed! Zimbabwe were never in the contest after a brisk start provided by Stirling and Porterfield but the African side made a resounding comeback. They picked wickets at vital juncture and kept themselves in hunt but the little cameo played by Kevin O'Brien hurt them the most. Ireland will be relieved after the win as it makes their path to main tournament a bit smooth with Netherlands and U.A.E. left to play.
