Match Ended
158/4 (20.0/20)
163/5 (19.5/20)
Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets
Rahul Tewatia has been adjudged as the Man of the Match for this game. Right then! We have had a very exciting clash in the first game of our day as Rajasthan had a brave batting effort in the last stages of the game and won the game for Rajasthan. The action continues as table toppers Delhi take on the second placed Mumbai at Abu Dhabi now. Switch over tabs for all the action from that game.
Earlier in the day, Hyderabad started off with the bat. They lost Bairstow early courtesy of youngster Kartik Tyagi. Manish Pandey was the shining light as he scored a very well made half-century. Pandey's knock coupled with the small cameos by Williamson and Garg, they cruised to 158 runs. With the bowling they possessed, they should have defended this total but the duo of Tewatia and Parag snatched the game away from Hyderabad.
This will disappoint Warner as they had the game with them and gave it away to Rajasthan. All of the bowlers bowled well for Hyderabad today but it was towards the end of the Rajasthan batting, that they eased down and Tewatia and Parag took full advantage of the same and wrapped the game up for Rajasthan. Rashid and Khaleel scalped 2 wickets each. All things considered, this will be a tough pill to swallow for Hyderabad.
Rajasthan started off really poorly with the bat. There was a surprise as Ben Stokes opened the innings with Buttler but that experiment did not quite work out as Stokes was back in the hut right at the start of play. Smith and Buttler too followed him back into the hut and they did not have the desired impact that they would have wanted. Samson and Uthappa got them back with a well made 36-run partnership but then Uthappa fell. Samson followed him back shortly after and it looked like this would be curtains for the chase. That is when the duo of Tewatia and Parag came to the fore and scripted an unlikely comeback into the game and Rajasthan have got 2 more points on the board.
Well, what a cracker of a game we have had here. It seemed as though Hyderabad with their bowling attack but it was the duo of Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag who turned up and crossed the finish line for the Rajasthan, who have finally won a game after a slump. They will be really pleased with this performance.

DRINKS! This has been another great bowling performance by Hyderabad so far. They have choked the batters of Rajasthan and have not allowed them to score a lot of runs and have also picked up wickets along the way. With the bowling attack that they possess, it should be Hyderabad's game but in this edition of the Indian T20 League, you just never know. Rajasthan, on the other hand, will have to go big if they are to win this game. An exciting segment of play coming up.

NOT OUT! The third umpire can't find anything conclusive and the benefit of the doubt is given to the batter. A full toss around off, Tewatia strokes it to the left of the bowler. Natarajan dives to his left to stop the ball. However, he fails to do so and the ball hits the stumps at the non-striker's end. However, Natarajan appeals as he feels that he touched the ball on its way to the stumps. The third umpire has been called for. After multiple replays, he fails to find any conclusive evidence that suggests that the ball did hit the finger of Natarajan. So, not out.
The third umpire is called into play for a run out appeal. The replays roll in and the third umpire says that there is no conclusive evidence that the ball touched Natarajan's hand before going onto hit the stumps and so this will be not out. Riyan Parag was in anyway.

NOT OUT! The ball is going to miss the leg stump. Now, Hyderabad lose their review. A top on-field call from the umpire. The wrong'un from Rashid. Parag comes forward and looks to defend but misses to get hit on the front pad. Huge appeal from the bowler and keeper but this time nothing from the umpire. Warner thinks and thinks and at the last moment calls for the review. Let's see what the replays have got to show. No bat, confirms the Ultra Edge. Will it hit the stumps? No, missing.
David Warner goes for the review this time for an LBW appeal that was adjudged not out by the on-field umpire. The ball is clearly not in the line of the bat. Ball Tracker comes in and it is seen that the ball is clearly missing the leg stump. Parag stays on.

Rashid Khan To Robin Uthappa OUT!
OUT! LBW! Three reds and Uthappa has to go. The mini-break works for Rashid and Hyderabad. A flatter ball around middle and leg, it is a bit quicker too. Uthappa tries to flick but misses to get hit on the pad. A loud appeal follows and the finger goes up. Uthappa wants to challenge it as he signals the 'T'. Replays roll in and shows three reds. That means Uthappa has to go and he takes the review along with him.
Robin Uthappa goes for the review for the LBW appeal against him which was given out by the on-field umpire. The third umpire comes into play. UltraEdge is in and there is no spike as the ball goes by the bat. Ball Tracker comes in and this is clipping the leg stump. The on-field decision stays on and Robin Uthappa will have to walk back to the pavilion now.
DRINKS! Hyderabad have started off really well. This was just the start that they required as they have got rid of Buttler, Stokes and the skipper of Rajasthan, Steven Smith. Khaleel Ahmed has been on fire today. Rajasthan will be disappointed that their big guns could not perform. But with Sanju Samson out there, they will be hopeful to chase this total down.

Khaleel Ahmed To Robin Uthappa
EDGY FOUR! 10 off the over but the massive wicket of Buttler in it. A slower bouncer, Uthappa looks to pull and at the last moment, tries to bail out. But he is late in doing so. Luckily for him, the top edge flies over the keeper's head for a boundary.

Khaleel Ahmed To Jos Buttler OUT!
OUT! CAUGHT! Khaleel Ahmed and Hyderabad are on fire here today! They have also removed Buttler now and Rajasthan's batting is falling apart like a deck of cards! He bowls a back of a length ball around off and middle, Buttler looks to play at this but it knicks off his inside edge and passes through just touching his pads and Bairstow is not going to drop these chances. Bairstow does well to dive to his left and take a low catch. Hyderabad have started off with a bang!
Khaleel Ahmed will bowl again, changing ends. Got rid of Stokes in his first over.

T Natarajan To Jos Buttler OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Smith is short! Huge moment in the game! A timid way for the skipper to depart. Another short ball around the pads, it is the slower one. Buttler pulls it hard towards deep square leg. They want two. Shankar, the fielder there, fires the throw towards the bowler's end. Natarajan collects and pushes it on the stumps. The third umpire has been called for. Replays roll in and it shows that Smith is well short.
The third umpire is called into play for this run-out appeal. Replays roll in and it is seen that Steven Smith is out of the crease as the bails are whipped off. He will have to walk back now.
