Washington Sundar shared his thoughts on his recent performance, crediting his captain's advice to keep things simple for his success. He noted that the wicket tends to improve in the second innings, making it easier to chase as the ball comes onto the bat better under the lights. Sundar also expressed his enjoyment of spending time with the bat in the middle.
The skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pat Cummins, says that it wasn’t a traditional wicket, which used to be here, and it was very tough to get fluency on this wicket, and thus, it was difficult to bat on. Adds that they didn't get as much spin as they would have thought, and the batters of Gujarat batted really well.
