Australia beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets
Time for celebrations - There's just one thing left now, and Mitchell Marsh goes on to collect the T20I series trophy after which his teammates join him and they pose for a team photograph as well. Righto, Bangladesh started this white-ball series with a couple of wins in the ODIs, sealing the deal, but Australia fought hard to win the final ODI. The visitors then took that momentum into the T20Is and handed the hosts a 3-0 thumping. Next up for Bangladesh, they travel to Zimbabwe for an all-format tour, beginning with the solo Test match on the 28th of June. As for Australia, they have a long break, and they return to action in mid-August as they welcome Bangladesh to their home. For now, there's still plenty of cricketing action to look out for. You can simply switch tabs and tune in to our coverage and catch all the action from the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Cheers!
Player of the Match - Australia's skipper, Mitchell Marsh, is given the accolade for his fiery knock of 60 off just 28 balls. He says it was satisfying to finish the series 3-0 and expresses pride in the team’s effort. He notes that the bowlers executed the plans well and felt that Spencer Johnson deserved the award. Marsh adds that the team was excellent throughout the series, highlighting the number of debutants and returning players, and says he is pleased with the overall result.
Player of the Series - Matt Renshaw is given the award for his all-round contribution of 113 runs and 3 wickets as well. Renshaw says that it feels nice to win 3-0 and also feels nice to contribute with both bat and ball. He says that the bowlers did well in the Powerplay and they approached the run chase well. On his trip to Bangladesh, he says that it was different from the last time he was here plenty of years ago.
The captain of Bangladesh - Towhid Hridoy comes in for a chat. He says they lost a couple of early wickets and couldn’t build momentum. Adds that he tried his best to execute his plan. He notes that the wicket was good, but they didn’t play well enough. He concludes that early partnerships could have helped them reach 170–180.
The Presentation ceremony...
Listless from the hosts - Given how they batted in the last game, Towhid Hridoy had enough confidence in his team to set a big score on the board, but things didn't turn out that way. The top-order failed miserably and after a sluggish start, it was skipper Towhid Hridoy who dug in deep and struck an unbeaten 61 to take his side over the 100-run mark. With the ball, things weren't that different either, as everyone, barring Nasum Ahmed, was taken to the cleaners. There were multiple overs where the bowlers conceded 15 or more runs and Bangladesh were blown away in quick time.
The better team in all aspects - After being asked to bowl first, Australia were on top of their game from the get-go, picking up three wickets in the first 5 overs. This set the tone as Adam Zampa weaved his magic through the middle overs, and the others contributed as well. Spencer Johnson bowled a terrific final over and even picked up a couple of wickets, inwhat was the most economical spell by an Aussie bowler while bowling his full quota of overs in a T20I game. With a small target to chase down, Mitchell Marsh litt things up from the start and added 54 quick runs with Josh Inglis. Marsh went on to score a quickfire 60 before getting out, and Tim David came in to hammer a couple of sixes to seal the win in just 11 overs.
Australia sweep the T20I series - After losing the ODI series 2-1, the Aussies have come roaring back to beat Bangladesh 3-0 at their home turf in a dominant fashion. Commanding from start to end, the final T20I has really been the cherry on the top for Australia. As for Bangladesh, it was a chance to take something away from this series, but they have been left with more questions than answers.

DRINKS! Not much to write home about at the moment as the players rehydrate themselves. Australia are just 12 runs away from a dominant 3-0 series win. It's been a tough day out in the field for the hosts and the home crowd must be very disappointed, but sometimes these things happen.
