England have named all-rounder Ben Stokes and fast bowler Mark Wood in their 15-man squad for the one-day series against Pakistan.
Stokes, who suffered a knee injury during the home series against Sri Lanka in July, returned for the second Test against Pakistan at Old Trafford only to tear his right calf muscle at the end of the match.
He missed the rest of the series in order to get fit for ODI series and the all important tour of India.
Wood has not played any international cricket since the series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates last October, having undergone two ankle operations over the winter.
Meanwhile, England have dropped struggling batsman James Vince from the squad for the five-ODIs.Â
Vince failed to score a Test 50 after making his debut against Sri Lanka earlier this season and the recent Pakistan series saw the Hampshire captain manage just 158 runs in seven innings at an average of 22.
Fast bowler Steven Finn was not included after injuring his hamstring during England's 10-wicket defeat by Pakistan in last week's fourth Test at The Oval.
England one-day captain Eoin Morgan has been included despite not playing since breaking a finger batting for Middlesex on July 26.
Stokes has been sidelined with knee and calf injuries this season while Wood has undergone two ankle operations since last playing for England in a Test against Pakistan in Dubai in October.
Spin bowler Dawson made an impressive international debut against Sri Lanka at his Southampton home ground in July, taking three wickets in England's eight-wicket win.
The five-match one-day series against Pakistan starts in Southampton on August 24.
