The women's T20 cricket matches will be taking place at the venue. The Edgbaston Stadium hosts international cricket matches on a regular basis. After a redevelopment in 2011, Edgbaston's crowd capacity has got close to 25,000. The addition of the new Edgbaston Plaza for the Commonwealth Games further increases its capacity.
