In a release issued on Tuesday, it was announced that Bravo - suffering from a thigh strain - will be replaced by Sri Lanka's Nuwan Kulasekara. Both Bravo and Kulasekara were part of their respective national sides in the recently concluded World T20 tournament.
While Bravo bowled just one over in five matches in the tournament and scored 16 from one innings, Kulasekara had five wickets to show from seven matches.
Bravo though has more impressive records overall in international T20 matches.
The other replacement in the side is Shadab Jakati who will fill the gap created by Srikkanth who suffered from a fall in a domestic match. He has suffered a fracture and will be out for six weeks.
UVA Next - making their debut this year - will also miss the services of prolific batsman Upul Tharanga who has a broken finger while Johnny Bairstow will not travel to South Africa for Yorkshire due to a wrist injury.
Delhi Daredevils on the contrary though have been bolstered by reports that Virender Sehwag is fit and will travel with the team. He had suffered a strain during the World T20 tournament.
